Publishers Weekly
With 850 questions and answers about people, places, popular literature and more, Brain Quest America makes history fun. The two-deck set is packaged in a resealable plastic storage case and a bottom fastener keeps cards together, making this ideal for summer road trips. Do you think you know a lot about America, its history, geography, literature and music, and many other bits and pieces of information? These 850 questions will test that knowledge and in addition to providing the answers, offer information to clarify and explain all the options you could choose as answers. There are suggestions for ways to play and ways to keep score. The deck can be used at home or in school. It is a great way to reinforce what has been learned or to pick up new facts. I played for a while and was feeling pretty smug, then I hit a few questions that gave me pause and half the time I picked the wrong answer. Every time I got a genius question right, I really felt good. It is tempting to keep the deck here on my desk and try a few cards each day—it is almost like eating potato chips, you can't eat just one. I trust kids with an appetite for information will feel the same way. 2002, Workman,
