We have been using the BrainQuest deck cards for years so I was excited to see they had an App. The storyboard looks great and the graphics are bright, colorful and fun (just like the deck cards found in stores) and it is easy to navigate between levels. I like that if your child wants/has to repeat a level there are new questions introduced so that you are not answering the same exact questions. Although, I think that the app is great as it is and well worth the money, I was a just slightly disappointed that it did not have a "read to me" component. If the characters read the questions or even if they responded with a "great job" or "try again", I think it would have added a great deal more value and would draw the kids in even more. It would have also been a great feature for kids that are struggling readers. My 8 year old daughter is dyslexic and she loves this app because she is able to learn a lot of information without having to struggle through a lot of text. I always start her on a lower level for her to gain confidence and build to the next level. She is breezing through this one and we will definitely move on to the next grade.

This game has interesting outside the box questions that make children really think. I am using it for a 5 year and he really enjoys it. The only issue i have is you have to read the questions aloud if the child does not read very well so expect to read the questions and answers...other than that pretty solid game

I am so glad to see some Brain Quest titles on the Nook. They are high quality, and a "learning game" that my son does not complain about playing! Recommend!!

Challenging for my kindergartener. She loves this app. I do wish the questions were read aloud to her because I have to sit next to her and read the questions but it gives us a project to do together. It help kids with critical thinking and helps them analyze a question when they don't know an answer off the top of their head.
