My daughter enjoys using this book. We have used other workbooks and I have not been impressed as much as I have with this book. It is laid out in an organize manner that is easy to follow and measure progress. The lessons are simple and offer enough information without overwhelming the student. I also like how each lesson builds on the last. I would have thought this was standard, but I have found it is not. It is not a book I would use as curriculum necessarily, but it is a great supplement for mainstream schoolers and homeschoolers alike.

I bought this book during the summer to help my daughter get ready for first grade and it's been great! The book has stickeers in the back to reward her for a job well done, and she's so proud of herself when she completes an activity. The sight words are especially helpful since they've started having weekly tests on the words at school.

I bought this book for my son to work on during summer break. It was great to get a head start on 1st grade. It helped me know what he needed to work on as well as know what he was proficient on... I chose this book over others because it covers a broad range of subjects, not just a math, or writing, etc. I'm planning on buying the 2nd grade book for him this summer and a kindergarten one for his siblings.

the colorful pages make it fun to work in this book. The stickers give little rewards for pages done. We also like the flash cards in the back which I cut out and stick in my purse so we can do them when we have a few minutes waiting in line or at a Dr. office.

My friend recommended this book and Beestar.org to me when my son started school. The questions are easy and he loves to do them. And after reading the arranged section of the book every week, he also does some free math exercise in Beestar. He is so proud that he can get most of the right answers.
