Rough Riders, Book 6
As a walking advertisement for the tattoo shop she’s set up in a small Wyoming town, India Ellison is well acquainted with preconceived notions. Despite the odd looks and off-color comments about her off-color hair, life is good. She’s clean and sober, dotes on her sister’s kids and, best of all, spends most of her free time with her best buddy, cowboy Colt McKay.
Reformed bad boy Colt never expected three years of sobriety to lead to three years of abstinence. Curbing his craving for booze and random sexual encounters is nothing compared to the ever-increasing craving for his hot-tempered, hot-bodied best friend, India. Too bad she’s his A.A. sponsor. Too bad she hasn’t a clue that Colt’s been head-over-bootheels in love with her from day one.
After an unexpected, steamy interlude, all India can think about is riding the sexy cowboy instead of her motorcycle, even when Colt is determined to show her a slower ride is worth the wait.
Or are they risking their friendship for a fling that could burn them both?

I have all of the books in the series and this is one of my favorites. As always there is smokin' hot sex and some great funny moments. I love how Colt finally got the forgiveness and respect from his family. I really liked how India and Colt friendship had developed into something more serious with them not realizing it. As always the surrounding family for both main characters are great and it was good to see what is going on with the crazy McKay family. I highly recommend all of the books in this series.

The characters were realistic, the sex steamy but true to the story, and a seriously romantic look at two people who start as friends and end up being so much more. Loved these characters and their interaction. It is a keeper. My favoite book of Ms. James so far! Keep 'em coming...

This book is going to be a keeper for me. I love the entire series but this may just be my favorite. I have been eager to get Colt's story and was not disappointed.
India and Colt complemented each other so well. Their friendship was so wonderful. The nail gun incident was definately memorable.
I would totally recommend this book if you want a good steamy cowboy read.

This was the book I was looking forward to the most. Colt was the badest of the McKay's and had the most issues and the worst reputation. I was looking forward to how he would be tamed by his true love. The beginning started great and the ending was touching. But the middle omg put me to sleep it had so much potential. I will read the rest in hopes of redemption. I wish they would get back to the real cowboy style writing.

4.75stars actually
I so love Colt & India’s story! It just might be my favorite so far in the series. (It’s neck & neck with Kade’s story.) India’s bravado to hide her true feelings was quite telling. Colt’s façade was just as flashy and brittle. This couple has that grounded in reality feeling and it’s great that they are both flawed.
One presumes these two flawed and damaged humans have been slowly healing each other since Tied Up, Tied Down. But for certain this time out is all about them learning to trust again and discover each other. The romance is sweet, flirty and sensual. It’s built for the road they are planning to travel together. Both Colt & India have hit bottom and scrambled their way to the top but not always to welcoming arms. When they decided their feeling for each other had passed the boundaries of platonic friendship but independently decide they can’t succeed with secrets between them is one of the best written scenes of the book. Or when they each were so afraid to lose the friendship they both treasured if the romance didn’t work out! Good Stuff! Both are great steps that added another dimension for their characters. As usual, the set-ups for the next few couples also made strong strides so I am eager for the next installment.
There was a lot of dirty laundry airing on these lines for the neighbors to inspect and I loved examining each and every piece of it.

I have read most of these books starting from Long hard ride to strong silent type. The character are well-rounded. The author makes me wantto read more about the Mckays. I feel apart of their family, the sex scenes are realistic and to the point. I recommend this series to anyone who is not afraid to read erotica romance. These books are believable and are a good read. Write more Ms. Leigh. Cant say enought about these books. They are so great. They find away into your heart and stays well after you have finish the last book.

Although this hasn't been my favorite of this series so far it was still really good. I haven't been able to put them down since I started reading the series. Lorelei has a wonderful way of making you feel the passion these characters share. I really enjoy her writing!

This book fit great into the series, some similarities in all the books but it was great to see the contrast in all the female characters.
