An excellent, action-packed, page turning thrill, with a side dish of suspense! The reason I chose this book was because first, the cover looked pretty interesting. The second reason was that my sisters have read/are reading them, and they just love Beyonders. When I first saw it, which was actually actually a year ago, I thought it was about this evil guy who was ruling everyone, because the title is: A World Without Heroes, the first in the Beyonders series. Once I read the book, I realized I was kind of right, as there was hardly anyone standing up against the evil emperor Maldor, making there be no heroes, Now, I feel the book is a lot more interesting then when I began reading it Also, now I know the plot, setting, and more, and I know that there really were a few heroes trying to save the world, which is called Lyrian. The book “Beyonders: A World Without Heroes” is an excellent Fiction/Fantasy story by Brandon Mull. Jason Walker is an ordinary kid working at the zoo. But one day, he finds himself being teleported to the mystical world of Lyrian. jason meets Rachel, who is also from Earth. Then they must work together to find a word, syllable by syllable, that can unmake the evil emperor Maldor. They must be careful, though. On their way they run into friends, enemies, and false truces. Can they make it? I really enjoyed this book, and it just sucked me in! I love how it gets me so into it, with high paced action and more. It helped me, especially, because the characters were about my age. Even then, however, this book is good for people ages 9-99, in other words, everyone can enjoy it! In the end, I have really enjoyed this amazing book, and highly recommend it. It is probably best for ages 10-15, but, like I said, anyone can enjoy it!

This series is one of my favorites ever; at first though I didn't expect much, but then I read them all as soon as I got ahold of them. The first one gets you into the series with a fantastic ending leading into the second, and that one digs deeper into the series, and the last is by far the best. These are books that can be compared to Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings. A must-read series!

Beyonders: A world without heroes      Amazing, Always on the edge of your seat      I thought this book would have a hero who saves people, after reading the book I knew I thought wrong. Everything is different he is a normal kid  who goes on an amazing adventure all on accident. Jason starts out at a batting cage then go to work at a zoo when Jason falls into a hippos mouth after he slips, it takes him into a “library” in another world. In this library he finds a book that says something like this “to destroy the evil lord Maldor you must find all 6 syllables that go to the end of this letter “a”. This book is a fantasy fairy tail and the main characters are jason and rachel. Jason is a baseball player and Rachel is a hard nut to crack. like this book because, it has humour and mystery . This is a really good book and you need to try it.

The first book to the Beyonders series was amazing. I truly enjoyed reading this book. Brandon Mull definitely “is a wizard with words,” to quote a review from Rick Riordan. Brandon Mull certainly put the book together in a good way, which I have no idea how. It seems straightforward. Except, perhaps, when they meet the displacer, or when it ends, or when Jason is challenged at (I can’t say), or when he meets the (I still can’t say). There are many surprises waiting to be uncovered. Like other medieval-themed action books, there was just the pain setting and book type that made it special, along with the ordering and thought and planning in it, which makes it double-special along with other books I’ve read. This adventure in a medieval-aged world to find a word to destroy an evil wizard emperor was quite creative. The book had different stages, where they were at a specific place, or when they were getting from or to somewhere. A lot of these pages had action or something interesting going on in them, and it all fit together nonetheless. This book is just as good as the other books with similar themes.
