    Great page turner!

This was an excellent book and one that I became emotionally invested in right off the back. Even though it takes place in the late 1800s, I immediately identified with the characters and their struggles. The mysterious JD and the thoughful Brandy's relationship had me hooked from the beginning. I'm dying to read book 2 and can't wait for it to come out!
