Overview

"Hollywood can really suck the life out of you..." "After facing off against the lethal Vampire Killer, Hollywood stuntwoman Dawn Madison and her friends are reeling with shock. They're injured, exhausteed, and hurting in every way possible." "For Dawn, the pain is much more personal. She's learned more about her missing father and long-dead mother than she ever wanted to know - a burden of truth that is straining her sanity to the limits. And her conflicted feelings about both her enigmatic, never-seen boss, Jonah, and P.I. Matt Lonigan are only making things worse." Yet Dawn is still determined to save her father. Her private battle will lead her directly into the vampire Underground, where she will encounter an unthinkable betrayal. And where, finally, the question of who is truly good and who is truly evil will become a matter of life, death - and undeath.

This book had some great twists and turns that I did not at all see coming, hence the 4 stars. That being said, there were still some things I didn't like. The 'Master' got to be reeeeeally annoying, I mean there's only so many times I can hear about how lame and depressed and pathetic someone is before I lose all sympathy and I just want to move on to something new. Dawn was also a little dense about some stuff, but nothing new there. Not nearly as much sex in this one as the other 2, which is not necessarily a bad thing, it made Dawn a little more relateable that she's starting to have emotions and what-not. I loved the ending, and I'm excited to see where it's going to go from here. One thing to be said for Green, she's not scared to alter and change major characters in major ways.

Although it took me awhile to get into the first book of this series, I sank right into the second book. The second book got right down to business and was hard to put down from beginning to end. I am starting to warm up to the heroine more. I am enjoying learning a little more about Jonah, Kiko and Bresi as well as the Underground characters. I would recommend this series, especially to those who really love this genre......

overall its a really good book and its not like most vampire book that i have read in the past. It goes back and forth so you got to really pay attention to whats happening. But I really liked it. It has a lot of suspense after each chapter so it makes you want to keep reading which is why i read it in like one day.

This is the 3rd of Chris Marie Green's "Vampire Babylon" series. I originally picked up the first book because the cover was interesting. The entire series is well done and this book does have a great ending to it. I'm not sure where the new arc will take the series. But I have all ready purchased the book.
