All Music Guide - Stephen Thomas Erlewine
Pete Yorn recorded Break Up in 2006 on the heels of one, but it sat on the shelf until 2009, appearing just a matter of months after his Back & Fourth, and a year after his duet partner, Scarlett Johansson, released a Tom Waits covers album. I Also Recommend:

Surprisingly good... given Scarlett's solo reviews.

Like all CD's some songs are better then others... a few are quite "catchy".
If you love Pete Yorn you should have this in your collection.

    SURPRISINGLY AND HAPPILY AMAZED

Actors turned singers, I can't name any that I like off the top of my head. However, KUDOS TO MS. SCARLETTE JOHANSON! Yeah sure there's quite a bit of production on her voice...but the soul of her voice still shines through. When the first song rolls you can't quite imagine that her voice would sound like that. Funky, different, SOULFUL! Put that with the artistry of Mr. Yorn and the combindation SOARS!! This CD is on heavy rotation...the songs are infectious, groovy...a melodic sweetness for your ears. PICK IT UP!
