A USA Today Bestseller!

Iris Tarango is a small-town girl from the wrong side of the tracks; she’s also a decorated former Marine who fought hard to become one of Red Stone Security’s most respected agents. But her perfectly ordered life is turned upside down when she’s assigned to guard the sexy, dominating tycoon she shares a secret history with. The instant Iris walks back into the billionaire’s diamond-studded orbit, the wild attraction flares between them…and her reputation, objectivity, and heart are in trouble.

After an attempt on his life, business magnate Wyatt Christiansen calls in major favors to hire Iris as his bodyguard. He knows she’s the best, though he has another motive too. He sees this as his final chance to win her heart. But when danger spins out of control, all Wyatt can think of is getting Iris out of harm’s way—even if it means losing her love in the end.

Unfortunately, the killer seems to know their every move. If Wyatt and Iris don’t figure out who put out the hit, they’ll lose more than their chance at happiness together.

I really hate these plot spoiling ppl who brag about getting the book for free for their 'unbiased and honest' opinion, then they proceed to reveal the entire story line. Take it to a blog site and brag and reveal away, but stop revealing the plot line here. Ppl are sick of having the book ruined by you inconsiderate plot spoiling braggarts.

This book sounds like it has a lot of nastyness in it. Give me a clean book to read. I wish B&N would have a rating system like the movies do. That would sure help in choosing a book. I hate wasting money on a book just to find it is a loser. Most people just say I loved it or didnt like. Tells us if it is Xrated or PG rated or some where inbetween. We dont need to be told the entire story, just a few words works for most people.

This is one book that starts out hot and just gets hotter.   There is no slow build-up before the story gets juicy.  I was hooked  by the first chapter.  Iris is the perfect heroine.  She is fierce, strong and smart, but it is her flaws that make her so easy to  relate to.  Wyatt is a little overbearing for my taste, but it does create great tension between the two.  This is the first book of this series that I have read and you definitely don't need to read the first five to enjoy this one.  However, if you are like me once you have read this book you will have to have the rest of the series!!  Katie Reus has definitely joined my list of favorite authors.

Breaking Her Rules is the sixth story in Katie Reus¿ Red Stone S

Breaking Her Rules is the sixth story in Katie Reus’ Red Stone Security series, and can be read as a standalone in my opinion. Iris and Wyatt have chemistry from the very first moment we are introduced to them. Their love is great because they’re friends who become lovers, one of my favorite types of stories. There are hot scenes in this book and a wonderfully written suspense plot. I was kept guessing as I tried to figure out just who was the bad guy, while the whole time I wanted Wyatt and Iris to figure out that they loved each other and they could make a relationship work.
Ms. Reus does a great job blending suspense, romance, friendship and hot sex in this story, it’s definitely a story I highly recommend. I enjoy the whole series and this installment did not disappoint.

    Awesome

    ## This book was awesome! It's actually the 6th book in the series but definitely stands alone. The two leads were both amazing. I loved that the heroine was a badass. She was beautiful, strong, capable, loyal, yet kind and loving. And the hero was....well, yowza comes to mind. Perfect combination of alpha male with slightly possessive tendencies and sweet & thoughtful. I loved how fiercely Wyatt loved Iris. Their chemistry was sizzling and the sex was hot. Romance and suspense at its finest (apprx. 300 pgs).

A great read, portrays a very independent and strong female that fights for what she wants, even though it terrifies her! It's an awesome addition to the RSS Series, yet you won't be left wanting if you happen to get it as a stand alone book.

Breaking Her Rules is the sixth installment in Katie Reus' Red S

Breaking Her Rules is the sixth installment in Katie Reus' Red Stone Security series & it didn't disappoint. I've read the previous books & this was another great addition to the series. I must also note that it can be a stand alone read so you don't have to read the others to understand this book.

Iris & Wyatt were an interesting pair. Iris was a tough as nail heroine, but honestly it took me a while to warm up to her. She has control issues and is afraid to lose that control so she's erected a big wall around her. Wyatt is one sexy hunk of a man who is very determined to win back the only woman he loves. He is just an all around great guy. If Iris doesn't want him, I'll take him any day ;)

The chemistry between these two was sizzling & was enjoyable to read. There were action, romance, suspense, and hot love scenes, so if you like those combos in your reads, pick up Breaking Her Rules. It'll provide you with several hours of sexy entertainment :)

I received an ARC copy of this book and was asked to give an honest review so here goes. It was awesome.
I loved how she took two dominant people and made it work. This book had it all action, suspense and of course love.
The whole Red Stone series is awesome plus you don't have to read them in order.
You can't go wrong with any of Katie Reus books.

This thrilling and action-packed friends-to-married couple story

This thrilling and action-packed friends-to-married couple story knocked my socks off.
The story unfolds in a delightful way right from the start as we get to know Iris, a highly trained fighter
negotiating a high-octane career in a male dominated field…but she is also a woman with secrets.
I didn’t know what to expect, but I really got into reading about a heroine like this. I loved watching her
attempting to balance being vulnerable in love and being all hardass at work.
The villain was definitely  interesting, and like all the Red Stone Series, nothing is more awesome than when all the
guys show up with all their testosterone and firepower. Also, Wyatt’s a fabulous hero, and perfect for Iris—
they’re both from the wrong side of the tracks, with their own unique perspectives on things. This series just
    keeps on delivering!

Breaking her Rules is a fast paced suspense novel with a red hot romance. Iris Tarango is an operative with Red Stone Security. She is very good at what she does. Iris is a beautiful, strong-willed woman. She has one weakness and that is Wyatt Christiansen, her husband. During her vacation a month ago, they married. The intensity of their emotions caused Iris to run back to Miami. Now Wyatt has come to reclaim his wife. He needs her more than ever because he is now the target of an assassin. Iris becomes his bodyguard and realizes how much Wyatt means to her. Will their love let them overcome their problems or will a bullet end their chance of a HEA? I was lucky enough to receive a copy from the author, but it did not influence my opinion. I loved this book! Katie Reus has written a story filled with passion and suspense that kept me reading until the last page. Don't miss out on a great story!

Breaking Her Rules is another great offering by author Katie Reus in her Red Stone Security Series. I have read a lot of this author's work. This series has suspense, romance and chemistry. Iris and Wyatt have a history which colors their interactions. I love that Iris is a confident female lead in a world dominated by males. I would certainly recommend this book and any other by Ms. Reus.

I was given an advance reader copy of this book for an honest review, although I would also certainly purchase this book if not.

Woot !! REVIEW: BREAKING HER RULES is the sixth installment in K

Woot !! REVIEW: BREAKING HER RULES is the sixth installment in Katie Reus’s RED STONE SECURITY series focusing on the men and women who work in high tech security and risk their lives for the people they love. Each of Katie’s storyline couples has a history and a past together and, Breaking Her Rules is no exception. Iris Tarango and Wyatt Christiansen grew up together in poverty-he with an alcoholic father and she with a single mom who refused to be tied down to any man. Life experiences make Iris and Wyatt whom they are today, but both with a military background will find them guarding and protecting each other from the bad guys as well as themselves.
Without giving away a major hook in the premise, Iris and Wyatt have known each other since they were young and unbeknownst to Iris, Wyatt has been in love with Iris since he was fifteen years old. They have always kept in contact with each other, whether on deployment, assignment or across the world, but one year earlier when Wyatt had been unable to contact Iris, his heart and his soul knew that he would never be able to live without the woman he has loved all of his life.
The storyline and their relationship becomes complicated when Red Stone Security is asked to protect Wyatt Christiansen after an attempt on his life is discovered by his staff. Knowing Iris is employed by Red Stone Security, Wyatt specifically asks for Iris hoping to get some one of one time with the woman he loved. But things go from bad to worse, when several more attempts against Wyatt’s life leave two members of the security team dead and a distraught Wyatt when Iris is kidnapped and held for ransom.
BREAKING HER RULES is another fast paced and amazing storyline by Katie Reus.. Wyatt Christiansen is a man in love, knows what he wants and will do whatever he can to ensure the woman he loves is kept safe and by his side. Iris is a strong heroine who is afraid to lose everything she has worked for throughout her life, but is willing to give love a chance with the man who literally is bound to her heart and her soul. I am a big fan of Katie's Red Stone Security series and Breaking Her Rules is another welcome read. You can feel the need, the passion and the love as Katie writes a storyline about two people who have always known they belong together.

BREAKING HER RULES is the 6th installment in Katie Reus¿s Red S

BREAKING HER RULES is the 6th installment in Katie Reus’s Red Stone Security series.

Iris Tarango and Wyatt Christiansen grew up together and maintained a close friendship as they both pursued different careers. After spending a crazy week together in his home base of Las Vegas, they eloped. The wedding bells were barely silent when Iris, believing she made the biggest mistake of her life (and terrified of losing her best friend) ran back home to Miami and her job with RSS. She immediately tried to fix things by serving Wyatt with annulment papers.
Wyatt was not about to let the woman he loves go….as he arrives in Miami, bent on keeping his wife and getting her to admit she loves him as much as he loves her, he realizes that someone is out to get him. What a better way to protect his interests and keep his wife close then by hiring Red Stone Security??
This was a fantastic read. Iris is a competent, strong yet vulnerable woman. She’s loved Wyatt all her life but doesn’t want to make a mistake that will cost them their friendship. Wyatt is a strong, stubborn, sexy Alpha male. He knows what he wants and isn’t going to let a little thing like his own attempted murder get in the way of him keeping his wife!!
Throughout the book, Wyatt and Iris protect each other and work as a team to find out who is threatening Wyatt. To me one of the sexiest aspects of Wyatt is that he has so much respect for Iris’s abilities and her strength. He wants to protect her with everything he has but knows she is perfectly capable of taking care of herself.
Once again, Katie Reus weaves a story that keeps the reader enthralled and entertained. She created two strong, sexy characters who were meant to be together. BREAKING HER RULES is a great addition to the Red Stone Security series. I can’t wait for the 7th book and the 8th and the 9th and……….

    Another Red Stone Security Must-Read!

Breaking Her Rules is the sixth book in the Red Stone Security series and I’ve devoured each and every one. If you love strong alpha personalities, heart-thumping suspense, and hot smoking chemistry, then this is the series for you!

The previous books in the series have had more of a male lead, so I was very excited for Iris’s story. And of course, Ms. Reus did not disappoint… Iris is assigned to lead the security detail to guard wealthy businessman Wyatt Christiansen after an attempt on his life. While Iris is a complete professional on any assignment, this one is important not only as a Red Stone assignment but on a more personal level. Iris and Wyatt have known each other since childhood and share a very special past… a past that now could impact their future. As Iris tries to stay a step ahead and figure out who wants Wyatt dead and why, she discovers that Wyatt’s safety is important for more than just professional reasons.

This is a highly recommended read with a kick-ass heroine who also has a tender side.

While each of the books in the series can be read as a stand-alone, it is fun to see characters from the other books. I look forward to the next installment.

I LOVE Katie's work.... but I am especially a fan of the Red Stone series and this is just another amazing addition to the family. Tough, sexy men, smart, beautiful women, and a well told story full of adventure and intelligence is what you get  in every Red Stone book. I love the reoccurring characters but also how she always makes her stories so unique and full of surprises when so many authors follow the same story pattern and it become predictable.  Iris is a great heroine who is so amazingly confident in her work, intelligent and tough with just the right amount of heart , but running scared when it comes to her love for her childhood friend. . Wyatt, not taking no for an answer when it comes to the woman he loves and wants to be with. If only there were more men out there like Wyatt and the rest of the Red Stone team! Their story is full of twists, turns, and passion that cost me a lot of sleep because I can never put a Red Stone book down! More importantly I love to reread this series, it's like visiting an old friend and that for me is what makes a book worth my time and my money. Looking forward to more from this author and this series!

I loved the fact that Iris is the head of her security team. She is a strong, competent, and talented heroine. Yet, Iris is emotionally vulnerable, not letting herself love anyone or anything due to the risk of losing it. Iris is independent and one of the best at what she does. A serious bad ass woman I’d love to be when I grow up ;). She loves Wyatt and has for a long time, but fights it with everything she has. After a week in Vegas with him she runs back to her comfort zone, Miami and her job. Iris has to face Wyatt a month later when he shows up in Miami.

Wyatt has a dominate personality. I loved Wyatt. He’s known Iris since childhood, been attracted to her since he was 15, and admitted his love for her, to himself, for a year. He was raised in the same basic circumstances as Iris and is hesitant to admit his love to her due to his fear of rejection. Wyatt is the possessive and jealous type that I like. He doesn’t go overboard, but I love it when alpha males lose their control a bit due to jealousy over “their woman”. Wyatt has spent his entire adult life striving to succeed and make money. That is until he acknowledges his love of Iris and she takes the top spot in his life.

I was pretty much hooked by the first page and stayed up way too late to finish it. There was enough action to keep me turning the pages and I was surprised to find out who was actually behind everything. The sex between Wyatt and Iris was well written, diverse and hot. This is the 6th book in the series but can be read as a stand-alone.

I recommend this book for fans of Romantic Suspense. Anyone who likes a strong, kick ass heroine. Hot alpha males. Action with a bit of mystery.

(I received a copy of the book in return for a honest review.)

I loved this story!  Katie Reus always has great stories that draw you in, and Breaking Her Rules is no different.  From the first page, I was drawn into the story and couldn't put it down.

Iris is this strong heroine, who doesn't need a man to rescue her; she's the one doing the rescuing. Yet, she runs from emotional attachments because of her fear of losing them.  She's strong, confident, and independent.  She's the type of woman I'm aiming to be like.     Wyatt is my dream guy.  All he wants is a chance to be with the woman he loves. He puts Iris before everything else.  He has a jealous side, but not too-jealous that makes him unbelievable.  Wyatt is a Katie Reus Alpha Male!

Add a dash of suspense and action, and you have a one-sitting read.  I liked how the action kept me on the edge of my seat and guessing who the killer was the entire time.

This is a wonderful story, and great for someone who has never read a Red Stone Security book before.  It has all the action and romance of the rest of the series.

The Red Stone Security Series has quickly become one of my favorites and is a must read. Katie Reus has a way of weaving a story that truly entertains and keeps me coming back. Her lastest offering is Breaking Her Rules featuring Iris and Wyatt. When you pick up a Red Stone Security book you will find alpha men that you love to love and strong women who challenge them. Since the books are about a special security team you'll also get a lot of action. One thing is for sure; these books do no disappoint!

The Red Stone Security series is awesome. I know that when I read them I will get lots of action, danger, passion and love. I will get to watch the guys and gals of Red Stone support each other like a close knit family. I will also get to read great dialogue with some playful banter between some of them. Of the six books in the Red Stone Security series, Breaking Her Rules is one of my favorite.

In Breaking Her Rules, we get to meet the first female agent of Red Stone, Iris. She is an awesome woman who demands respect from her team by working hard and getting the job done - not by thinking she deserves special treatment because she is a woman. She is down to earth and low maintenance. We also get to meet Wyatt, who is a very wealthy businessman and Iris's best friend since they were about 10 years old. Both of them were Marines, are quite strong, honorable, and can take care of themselves. So when a hit is put out on Wyatt, and he calls Red Stone for extra security, Iris knows he is really concerned. Wyatt pulls some strings to have Iris lead the team even though a secret in their past could get in the way.

I was a little worried that Wyatt would not be as "alpha" as I have come to like in Katie's books because Iris was such a strong woman and the one hired to provide security for Wyatt. Boy was I surprised! Two main characters that can kick a little butt? Yes, please. We also get to see some strong emotions between these two. I totally sided with Wyatt in this book and was glad he didn't give up on Iris. As for the other characters, it is always nice to see some of the guys and gals from the other books make an appearance. I really, really liked Jay and Ellie in this story and while I would love to see them in another book I don't think their stories would take them back to Red Stone.

The writing in Breaking Her Rules is so smooth even when there are a lot of details that need to be included such as in the action scenes. I was able to keep up because Katie provides such great descriptions and I actually felt the action and emotions along with the characters. When she writes the passionate scenes Katie knows exactly how much detail to include and how much to leave to the reader's imagination. If you are looking for a romantic suspense book that grips you from the beginning and doesn't let you go until the end, I recommend Breaking Her Rules.
