I've read this book twice now, and I cannot get it out of my head. These characters are going to stick with you. There is so much emotion and so many twists and turns, you are going to be high on adrenaline. I was sitting on the edge of my seat pretty much from chapter one. I feel like I should remind you, this is a trilogy. And I have it on good authority that the story will not be complete, until its complete. A strong start to a series. I need my hands on more! Amazing debut from D. Kelly.

Wow I was lucky enough to get a pre read in of Breaking Kate from Dee herself before her quick arriving release day, and wow o wow this was definitely a keeper.
It had suspense, it had tension, love, compassion, want, need, desire, passion and great love shown between the characters.
I was totally wrapped up in this book for the 2 days it took me to read it, and I would have to recommend it out to all, I for sure can not wait to read more from the Acceptance series.
Badass Bitches Book Blog - Loca Crz
5 Stars! From the very first page, I was hooked. Having the story being told from different POVs makes it easier to see how and what everyone is feeling and it helps you understand how realistic those feelings are. .The story flows at a nice, easy pace and the characters develop in such a way that it's believable. The book ends on a cliffhanger that left me wanting to throw my kindle across the room. I can't wait to get my hands on the next book to see what happens to Kate, Daniel, and Mike.

This was a definite 4.5 read for me. I devoured this book in one sitting. It is a very well thought-out story that progresses nicely. D.Kelly writes her characters with emotion and sincerity that makes them very likeable.
I can't wait to see what happens in the next installment of the series. If you don't like cliff hangers I suggest you wait till all the books are out, but will be missing out on an amazing story right now. Great job D. Kelly

I have to find a way to draw you into this book without giving things away!! How about I just say this.. It's in my top 20!!
Let's start with the writing style, it's awesome & it draws you into this story from the very beginning. You learn the story from all parties involved & never once did it feel overwhelming like it sometimes can when multiple POVs given, not this time. I felt connected to all the characters even if they were supporting! I can't say this enough read it you will love it!!

A great start to what promises to be a great series. I could not put this book down. Written in a unique 3 person POV style D Kelly takes you on journey that will make you laugh, cry, fall in love and ask what happens next. I have not had a book leave me wrecked like this since the first book in the Blackstone Affair. This book is the total package for any romance reader.....real characters, a storyline that flows, steamy sex scenes, and a deep connection that leaves you wanting more! Absolute 6 star read! I am looking forward to reading more from this promising and talented new author!

This book took me hostage from the very beginning. I enjoy books that contain more than one POV. The character development was done very well and I like to know more about the characters background as I go along.  Katherine(Kate) and Michael according to their parents were destined to get married and have children together. Their fathers are business partners and both are from wealthy families living comfortably. One tragic night Michael's father was in a motor vehicle accident and life as they knew it was changed forever. Michael ended their relationship because of issues beyond their control and wrong assumptions.  Several years later, when Kate is finishing up her schooling and living with her best friend Jess, she feels it is time to start living again. She has kept her life with only school and work and no fun.  Connor who is a good friend of Kate and is very protective of her, knows that she has been getting over a devastating breakup with her ex Michael. He invites Kate and her best friend to come to his party because he wants them there but he is very interested in her best friend. Jess pushes her to go to start living and to meet new people. Connor has been talking about his friends and his brother for as long as they have known each other but due to her tight schedule she has never met Jake, Mike or Daniel. She has heard so much about their reputations with the women but will thy be too much for her.  What will happen when Kate encounters Michael for the first time since he left her heart broken? Ironically Connor and Kate come to realize that his friend and her ex happens to be one in the same person.  I recommend that you read his book because it is a really good story that with touch you with the emotional journeys taken. You will want to read about what happens after they meet after all the years of torture that went through losing the one they thought would be it.

I knew from the start this would have a "cliffhanger" of sorts since this is the first book in a series, but really? Oh my Gosh!!! My heart has been twisted and wrenched out. I LOVE the three POV's throughout the book. It gives so much more insight of what is really going on. I fell in love with Daniel the first second he walked through the door at Conner's. Michael had me pissed so I was glad Conner and Jess set Kate up with Daniel. I know all about soul mates and love at first site, cuz in May I will be married to my soul mate and love at first site for 20 years(25 1/2 yrs together), so when both Kate and Daniel felt all that too, I believed it to be true. I can't really give more info into my review as I hate spoilers and don't include them in mine, but I CANNOT wait for book two. Literally, so I hope book two is near completion and out soon because I need to know!!!!!!!!!

Katherine and Michael met in 2nd grade and have been inseparable ever since. Right before they are to start college, tragedy strikes and tears them apart.  Fast forward 3 years. Katherine goes by Kate. She has kept her heart protected  by never allowing any man into her life, except as a friend. Kate and her BFF Jess live together and are Srs in college. Jess is the only one who knows all that Kate has been through and is fiercely protective. A guy Kate met at college, Connor, has become like a brother to her. A few people know she was badly hurt by Michael. Michael now goes by Mike. He has spent the last few years having rough sex with any willing woman. He still loves Kate, so he refuses to care about any of the women he meets. Mr One-night-stand. Mike tells his good friend Daniel how he feels about Katherine and that he intends to work on winning her back.  Connor fixes Kate up with Daniel. They fall in love within a few minutes of meeting. She tells him a little about Michael and how he hurt her. No one puts together that Katherine is Kate and Michael is Mike. From then on, the book becomes totally unbelievable. I believe in coincidence but this was ridiculous! As Kate meets Daniel's family and Connor's family it seems everone is really all related and/or interconnected in some way. The connections go back to before Kate and Mike were born and on to present day. I felt like I was reading Science Fiction it was so bizarre. Also, the dialogue was over the top. The story could have been told with 200 less pages. I wouldn't recommend this book. It is simply too absurd.

For the longest time I was hesitant to start reading this series. Mainly because Dee was someone I hadn't heard of and I had recently had some bad luck with getting into new things. Also, I had figured that it was some unrealistic mushy gushy romance (which isn't my thing). I was really intrigued during a takeover/giveaway that was being hosted. There were teasers and I had read the comments of others who had already started the series. That night I won a copy of Breaking Kate and just recently received it so that I could dive in. BEST THING I EVER DID! From the very beginning I was hooked! I couldn't put this down and then instantly went and purchased the following 2 in this series. This was a true emotional roller coaster and you would not regret starting this series. I am afraid to give anything away if I go into detail about the story so I'll just say this. This is a well thought out, beautifully written story. You view what's going on from multiple POVs and it flows nicely. Sometimes going from one POV to another has been overwhelming for me, but with this story that was not the case. I couldn't help but fall in love with the characters, to get drawn into their world and feel as if I was with them every step of the way. Oh and for the record I'm #TeamDaniel

The first time I heard of Dee Kelly was through a meet and greet for authors and bloggers. She offered her book for an honest review.. Well she is an exceptional writer. Kate and Mike were to love each other for the rest of their life but one night it all ended when Mike father died one night and Mike blamed everything on her. I took her three year to get her life straightened out and then one day she meet Daniel and she was drawn to him. They saw each other for two weeks and thought they would be together for the rest of their lives until the faithful day that Mike walked back in her life and Daniel was his friend all those year after Kate and now there is tension between them all,but the only thing she can do is run. But there is a kicker, there is one threatening both Daniel and Mike and Kate is in the middle....Now with that said you have to read the book. You will fall in love with Kate and Daniel. Will their love for one another be able to save them both? It is a recommend must read...

Loved this book! At first the lengthy speeches everyone seemed to make kind of bugged me because I don't think people really talk like that but I could not get the story out of my head; it was addicting; I had to know what was going to happen next! I was on the edge of my seat more than once. I fell in love with the characters, ALL of the characters, especially Daniel, (I think I love him)! This book has it all: emotional connections, romance, friendships and heartbreak, not to mention lots of steamy, sensual, romantic sex appeal. I couldn't put it down! looking forward to reading the next installment to this fantastic series by D. Kelly!

omg i loved Breaking Kate!! This was one of best books i have read so far this year! D.Kelly has won me over with her writing and the emotion that she puts into her book not just her emotion but the characters too it feels like your in the moment with them and can feel everything they are going thru. Katherine and Michael where childhood friends who grew up to fall in love and become boyfriend and girlfriend. Until one nite a tragedy strikes and tears them apart. Katherine never really moved on until her best friends jess and connor decide to introduce Kate and Daniel, they hit it off right away but the past catches up, will it destroy daniel and kate or make them stronger?

if i could give this more that 5 stars i would... i honestly loved it!! Ok so I now have to find a way to draw you all into this book without giving things away!! Ugh how about I just say this.. It's in my top 20!! Ok let's start with the writing style that Dee Kelly has, it's awesome and it draws you into this story from the very beginning. You learn the story from all parties involved and never once did it feel overwhelming like it sometimes can when you have multiple POVs given, not this time I felt connected to all the characters even if they were supporting! Ok so here's my thoughts with out giving any spoilers away... Katherine had her life mapped out from the ripe old age of about 6 when she knows she is going to marry her best friend Michael, he's her everything, her first everything too, first love, first boyfriend, first lover. She knew in her bones they would be together forever. But forever didn't really have it in her cards for Katherine and Michael, in one instant one night her world came crashing down. Fast forward a few years and Kate is now going to graduate college soon with a double major and has no heart left for a relationship that was taken from her when Michael left her.. Until her BFF Jess takes her to a friends party, she comes face to face with her other half. You can literally feel the pull from the pages that they feel for each other. Daniel is like no one she's ever met before, he's handsome and loving, caring and compassionate, sexy and alpha all in one hot package! They are both coming out of their post break up depression and spark something in one another that no one else has for them. 2 weeks is all it took to fall in love, promises of forever are made but can the past remain the past forever or will it come face to face with the present and all that Daniel and Kate want out of life. Mike has stumbled through women and beds trying to forget the girl he threw away. One night he got a whiff of her and all the memories he saves for the times he's alone or before he goes to bed rear their ugly head and force him to rethink his life choices. He's got his friends, his brothers , to rely on to get his girl back.. Will she take him back will she forgive the love he threw away? I can't say this enough read it you will love it!!

Pure of love and emotions. You'll get your heart in high and low moments while reading Breaking Kate.  I can't explain all the emotions that Breaking Kate has brought out of me. I love it a lot though I would really wanted it to end differently. I really love reading it during Kate's and Daniel's sweet moments until somehow I found myself hating it. I even despised the author for putting me through this. I was waiting for the perfect moment, for a happy ending but it never came. However, D. Kelly braved it all. She connected to me as a reader. She hooked me up with a mess that is Kate's lovelife. I admire her for the courage to mix all the emotions someone can get it reading the story. Recommended for readers: After reading Breaking Kate, you should find yourself a happy book ASAP. SPOILER ALERT: Because my review wouldn't be complete if I don't mention these scenes. You've been warned! I was really anxious for Mike and Kate's closure. I waited so long for them to see each other again so Kate can finally love Daniel freely without a baggage from her past that is Mike. Then Vanessa came along. I didn't hate her. I could not hate her because she wasn't mention a lot in the story except that she's Daniel's gold digger ex. Until Daniel's father tells his story, I was really hesitant to continue reading the book because I already knew what the ending would be like. CLIFFHANGER. Well, I hope D. Kelly wouldn't torture the readers a lot and get the second book out as soon as possible. Breaking Kate is a recommended read for the strong- hearted. At least someone didn't die.

Be ready to stay up all night to read this! For her first novel, Dee Kelly gets 5 stars! The relationship triangle of Katherine, Michael, and Daniel is filled with hurt, anger, raw passion, and steamy sex! But the cliffhanger at the end will leave you choosing sides and waiting to see what Dee Kelly will do. I hope she does something soon!

This is a lovely read with lots of passion, hurt, confusion, needs, wants, and the list goes on. I found this to be a very interesting read with a powerful message and a very intense love. It is hard to try to move on when you are still caught up in the past, then when the past comes and hits you in the face when you least expect it well to say the least you have complicated relationships. I found the love scenes to be hot and passionate to say the least, they sure to steam things up. One night is about to change everyone’s life, some might win but more will lose. You have a love triangle between Michael, Katherine and Daniel which each of them do not work out until you are almost to the end of the book. As you get close to the end things heat up even more and things get a whole lot more complicated. I find it very easy to believe that none of them worked out Michael was Mike and Katherine was Kate I know I have a hard time with people calling others I know by a nickname when I call them by their full name it can get confusing. I found Kate to be much too sweet and understanding, I understood where she was coming from, it is hard not to like her but for me she is just too sweet. She has been hurt so bad by Michael and his mother turning their back on her for nothing she did. They wouldn’t listen to her and blamed her for the death of Michael’s father. I had a hard time getting wrapped around that but it is understandable when you are in pain to take it out on those you love. It was wonderful to see Kate come out of her shell and find love to a wonderful man who puts her first for a change. Kate would love closure with Michael but she would also like to have him back. He is her first everything and she has had a hard time letting go. Daniel walks in and turns her world around, she has the passion she never had with Michael but she is still unable to let Michael go. Michael I would have loved to slap, I really didn’t like him but I understood him. Then I came to like him again but I am still on the fence with him. He said and did things when he was in pain that he grows to regret, now he wants to go back and fix things. Three years is a long time to wait to fix it but he will do his best. He can’t forget the one woman who he has loved all his life, he can’t forget what he did to her and wants her back. If he can’t get her then he wants to have closure so he can move on. You can’t blame the man for that. Daniel he is the one I totally adore, I feel so much for this wonderful caring man who gives so much of his self to those he loves. I sure hope he comes out of this mess on top but I have a feeling he will lose so much. Daniel keeps telling Mike to go for it never give up the women you love, all things can be fixed. Little does he know he is talking about the women he loves, the women he could lose so soon. It breaks my heart to see him find out his BFF is his girlfriends ex. The one women who is his everything is about to tear his world apart and leaving him not knowing if he is coming or going.

I'll start by saying this was definitely a 5 Star read for me. Romance, intrigue, suspense. A lot of back story. It grabbed my attention pretty quickly with the prologue and for that reason, I can't tell you much about the story itself because I wanted you to be as taken in as I was. But I loved all these characters. There are several that I'd like to see more of, and I'm pretty sure D. Kelly plans on giving us more. There is a cliffhanger, so don't say you weren't warned. I'm very much looking forward to reading more from D. Kelly.

D. Kelly offered me Breaking Kate for an honest review.  Before I accepted the book, she said that were a lot of sex scenes.  Oh man...these sex scenes were super hot. This book started out like a typical romance book.  Three years before the story starts, Kate was known as Katherine.  She was in love with a boy named Michael that she had grown up with and they were waiting till they graduated college before they got married.  The prologue was sweet and touching and I found myself hoping that the story would be about Michael and Katherine would get married and have a happily married life. One night, everything changed.  Michael was called to the hospital and was told his father was in an accident and was close to death.  After he died, Michael mother's Claire starts yelling at Katherine and blaming her for the death of her husband due to some business dealings with Katherine's father. Katherine left the hospital to give Michael and Claire their time to grieve. Early in the morning Katherine finally saw Michael, and that is when everything changed.  That is when Katherine became broken and became Kate Three years later Kate is still healing.  She is in school full time and doing everything she can to keep herself busy.  Each moment that she has, she thinks of Michael and what could have been.  Finally her best friend Jess dragged her to a party. At that party, Kate meets someone that can help her heal.  Daniel is the man that she feels fated too. Kate is healing and her relationship is going well with Daniel.  Daniel is talking to his friend Mike and he realizes that he is trying to heal from a mistake he made three years ago.   One night EVERYTHING CHANGES... This is one amazing book.  In the middle of a very hot sex scene, D. Kelly changes up the story and makes me grabs my tissues.  Once her and Daniel have some amazing sex, Ms. Kelly rights an amazing story.  This is just a much read story and I hope really hope that there is more to come.  I have never been one to to be "team so and so or team so and so", but I am finding myself hoping that she can fix everything and end up with Daniel.   I have to say thank you to D. Kelly for allowing me to read and review this book.  I loved every moment of the book and tried to just sit and read it through, but with a family and little ones run around it was hard for me to do.  But Breaking Kate is a book that is not to be put down.  Its is full of hot sex and steamy romance and a cliffhanger both in the middle of the book and at the end that just make it wroth the read.

I just love this book! It's very complex and there is so much going on without being overwhelming, it's enough to capture your attention and keep you invested. It is a trilogy and I can't wait for more!
