Evelyn “Scout” Keats has left behind her painful past of surviving on the streets, and is now living in the luxurious penthouse master suite of Hotel Patras with her lover, billionaire Lucian Patras. But what she doesn’t know is the price Lucien paid for her freedom.
To protect Scout’s life, Lucian cut a deal with a dangerous man from her past, Parker Hughes. He swore to stay away from her for thirty days, even though he knows Parker will be fighting to keep them apart for good and take Scout as his own.
Yet neither man realizes that Scout is not about to be used as a prize or a bargaining chip for any man’s power play—and she falls back on her hard-earned self-respect and courage to show both men that the only person she truly needs is herself.
But Lucien has other plans…
DON’T MISS COMING HOME, THE THIRD AND FINAL NOVEL IN THE SURRENDER TRILOGY

Do you know that feeling when you get so drawn into a story, that you cry with characters and you yell at them? Breaking Out did that for me. In this, the second installment of The Surrender Trilogy, many puzzle pieces fall into place. It had love, hot scenes and angst. The ingredients of my favorite romance novels. I was left speechless and am biting my nails until the final book is released. When I received my copy, I was in the middle of a suspense novel and STILL put it down just to I could see what Lucian, Scout and Parker have been doing since the first book. Thank you Lydia Michaels for giving us these characters! Even if you did make me cry.Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. I fell in love with Scout and Lucian and even Parker from the first book. I've been waiting for this book to come out and Ms. Michaels did not disappoint.
See I have this love/hate relationship with this book----for one I LOOVED it. For another----I spent one sitting reading it. One. Sitting. That means I had to call off work and my house is still a mess from this morning. I mean, I didn't even eat much because I was so into this book.
. . . now. . . I have to sit still **trying to sit still but failing** and wait for January for Coming Home. Gah!! NOooooooo! I mean--I can't wait!!!
Meanwhile I will appease myself reading her other books. However **gets down on knees** when will these come out on audiobook? My housework skills are lacking nowadays whilst my nose is stuck in your books. Audiobooks would be a nice solution!
