I was drawn to Breaking Perfect based on the blurb and an excerpt I had found of the book on a blog. I had no idea what I was getting myself into, but boy, am I glad I took the risk! This was my first real taste at MMF/BDSM erotica. I've never read a book before that made me blush while reading it. This book was sizzling hot.

Even though this book was FULL of sex, my favorite aspect was simply Libby's character. Libby's issues with OCD are real. She was believable, and her struggles with perfection were heartbreaking. I felt her pain. I related to her. Michaels did an excellent job explaining Libby's inner struggle with her OCD and how people suffering from it bring it outside. In Libby's case, it was in the form of self-mutilation. The issues brought up in Breaking Perfect are not easy to talk about, let alone write an entire book about. Michaels weaves in the tough topics with the hot and sexy--things that wouldn't normally go together. She somehow made it all fit perfectly together.

There was not one thing about this book I didn't like. It was steamy hot, but at the same time, it was believable, well-written, creative, and an overall great read. Breaking Perfect blew me away.
