Overview

With his letter of resignation typed and ready, Max Carter was prepared to resign his position as a photographer for The Schenectady Times when fate stepped in and gave him the opportunity of a lifetime. His photographs of a bridge collapse make Max a national celebrity and the target for both the jealousy of his peers and a pair of con-artists who want to capitalize on his newfound wealth. While trying to adjust to his new life, Max finds himself haunted by the image of a little girl who knows his secret and may be the only person on earth who can save him from the power building inside him. As Max struggles to learn the dark secret behind his success, the gift passed down from mother to son continues to grow, and if not discovered in time it could destroy Max and everyone he loves.
