From Barnes & NobleThe Barnes & Noble Review
Suzanne Brockmann's readers like their action -- and their passion -- delivered high-speed and full-throttle. Brockmann more than delivers in this exciting thriller that features a reluctant romance between FBI negotiator Max Bhagat and Gina Vitagliano.
The reluctance is strictly on Max's part. The two met when Gina was a passenger on a hijacked airliner, and Max was the negotiator that talked them down. So, they have history, they certainly have chemistry, but Max is convinced their attraction is inappropriate, and his reservations are only compounded by the fact that he is 20-some years older. It takes Gina being abducted again for the stoic Max to wake up to his true feelings. The action plays out on a global scale, from Germany to Kenya to Indonesia, and readers will be pleased that Max is accompanied on his rescue mission by resourceful, gay Jules Cassidy, a recurring character. They follow Gina's trail to Indonesia, where she and her friend Molly are kept hostage. This time, it's going to be different! Ginger Curwen
