More About This Book

Overview

Rachel Walker wasn’t living the life she dreamt of in her youth. A talented artist and attractive dark-haired beauty, Rachel felt something had gone wrong on the way to success. Somewhere she’d lost who she was meant to be. Rachel let go of her ambition in exchange for tedious security and safety. Trapped in a demeaning and humiliating job, living in a run down apartment, Rachel dreamed of the life she longed to have knowing it was always beyond her reach. Until one day Ginger Radcliffe, her best friend living a life of luxury and fame in New York makes her an offer she can’t refuse. A chance to regain the life she was meant to have, if only she were willing to give up everything she was in the process. With fearful anticipation Rachel finds herself in front of an elegantly appointed brownstone office bearing the obscure name: Restoration Services.

Sneak Peek:

“Wh…what do you mean my Restoration? Esme mentioned that as well but didn’t explain it. What does that mean?”
Instead of answering her immediately, Doctor Swain moved to a cupboard and dipped inside. “You are an artist, correct.”
“Yes.”
“What do you do when a painting you’re working on isn’t turning out quite right? Do you discard it and start anew or do you try to salvage your canvas?”
Rachel was truly confused now. “Well…canvasses are expensive. I salvage them.”
“Even if it means you must destroy what took so long to create?”
“Y…yes. Sometimes you just can’t capture you vision, so it’s better to start fresh, from the beginning.”
“Exactly,” Doctor Swain replied. “I’m glad you understand. Restoration Services takes damaged, uncompleted women, women who have lost their vision of life and we return it to them.”
Rachel hadn’t a clue what he meant by that. “How do you do that? What do you mean damaged?”
“As with the painting gone astray, I erase the faults and imperfections accumulated over a lifetime until nothing remains but the pure, pristine foundation. A foundation on which I will rebuild you into the woman you’ve always wanted to be.”
“Hah! Good luck with that,” Rachel snorted almost forgetting she was naked and bound to the table in his offices. At least, she did until Doctor Swain turned and Rachel spotted the odd device he was holding.

There is a little bit of everything in this novel that is sure to stimulate the reader, ranging from BDSM, to the doctor sub-genre and even a little taste of lesbianism.  But at the heart of the erotica story is a moral of being true to yourself and that is what tips the scales for me for this book.

When you consider how many women are unhappy with themselves and their lives right now, I'm sure the Doctor here wouldn't want for a good time. While there is a lesson here to be be true to yourself and not settle for being someone you're not, the real focus is on the BDSM scenes. Sexy and hot, they deliver and satisfy. For those who appreciate this genre, you're sure to enjoy it.

I wasn’t sure what to think of this book when I decided to get it. This was the first time I had dabbled into this kind of BDSM sub genre of it with a Doctor involved. I have to say I am glad that I got the book. It is a pretty straight forward BDSM erotic book but it does have some backstory in dealing with Rachel Walker. It is an interesting road to take to be the person you want to be but I would recommend this book to those who are not afraid to branch out!
