Overview

Ginger Radcliffe returned to Restoration Services after receiving the urgent summons from the clinic’s founder and sole practitioner, Doctor Swain. Offering no explanation, the request alarmed the red-haired actress. Rachel Walker, her best friend, had disappeared into the clinic’s two story Victorian brownstone nearly a month ago. Ginger trembled with anticipation and worry as she neared the scene of her own Restoration and the man who introduced a weak, feckless young college student to the power that lay within her own soul.

Founding Restoration Services was more an avocation than vocation for Doctor Swain. His patients came to him chained and limited by evolutionary and biological restraints they neither understood nor recognized. Freeing them to become the women they could be required stern discipline, a firm hand, and a willingness to inflict on them pain beyond imagining, a trial by fire that would either elevate them or destroy them. A process that worked well for all his patients so far, giving him a track record of success that left him glowing with pride at their achievements.

Swain’s therapies typically proceeded with medical efficiency for all his patients…for all except Rachel Walker. The thought of Rachel Walker’s rebellion left him raging though it didn’t show on his iron-willed features. He would have his answers, he vowed. If he had to break Rachel Walker completely…and her friend, Ginger, in the process.

Sneak Peek:

“Doctor Swain doesn’t feel entirely safe around you just yet.” Ginger reported not willing to discuss the particulars of her stay in Doctor Swain’s control. “He says you refuse to participate in any further therapy.”
“Why should I? I’m fine. I’ve never felt better.”
“He wants to understand what’s happened to you.”
“Happened?” Rachel settled onto the velvet covered settee pulling Ginger down to sit beside her. “Nothing’s happened. Or everything.” Rachel groaned shooting a glance around the room. “Ginger, I’m me…more me than I’ve ever been. Doctor Swain made that happen and I’ll be forever grateful. But I want to leave. I want to begin my life again.”
“Then let Doctor Swain conduct his tests.”
“But I don’t need anymore tests.” Rachel protested rising, pacing across the dressing room. Ginger followed her steps. “I want to leave.” The girl repeated.
“You signed the same papers I did,” Ginger reasoned. “You put yourself entirely under his control for the six-month treatment period. Legally, Doctor Swain can keep you here, against your will if that becomes necessary.”
“I know. Esme showed me. I really should have read those damn forms.” Rachel threw her hands up in frustration.
“Don’t worry,” Ginger assured rising and hugging Rachel again, her hands caressing the artist’s smooth back. “He’s not a monster, you know. He won’t hurt us.” Rachel laughed without humor snuggling into Ginger’s arms. Ginger felt again the incredible heat coming off the young girl’s body.
“That’s what they all say.” Rachel squeezed Ginger and broke away. “What exactly does he have in mind?”
Ginger breathed a silent sigh of relief and explained as much of Swain’s proposal as she dared, not wanting to alarm the recalcitrant artist.
“So…you’ll do it then?”
Rachel’s brow wrinkled in thought. She paced, biting her thumbnail absently.
“And you’ll be there with me? The entire time?”
“Yes. I won’t leave you. It’ll be just like pledge week.”

There is a little bit of everything in this novel that is sure to stimulate the reader, ranging from BDSM, to the doctor sub-genre and even a little taste of lesbianism.  But at the heart of the erotica story is a moral of being true to yourself and that is what tips the scales for me for this book.

When you consider how many women are unhappy with themselves and their lives right now, I'm sure the Doctor here wouldn't want for a good time. While there is a lesson here to be be true to yourself and not settle for being someone you're not, the real focus is on the BDSM scenes. Sexy and hot, they deliver and satisfy. For those who appreciate this genre, you're sure to enjoy it.

I wasn’t sure what to think of this book when I decided to get it. This was the first time I had dabbled into this kind of BDSM sub genre of it with a Doctor involved. I have to say I am glad that I got the book. It is a pretty straight forward BDSM erotic book but it does have some backstory in dealing with Rachel Walker. It is an interesting road to take to be the person you want to be but I would recommend this book to those who are not afraid to branch out!
