Meet the Author

Willa lives in British Columbia, Canada. She enjoys a variety of activities, but her favorites are those that involve relaxing. Sitting in the backyard with a cold cooler in the summer, and cozying up with a blanket and a bowl of popcorn while watching a movie in the winter are at the top of her list. Of course she loves to read, and while she is not picky on the genre, she prefers books that contain romance in one form or other.Willa is the author of the ebook series The Garnet Trilogy. Her latest ebook, Ridley House, was published earlier this year and is available for download at most major retailers, including Barnes & Noble, Kobo, and Amazon.

This book wasn't as exciting as the first, but I still enjoyed it. It was very interesting to learn about Garnet and about what brought Magda and Larzel to their place in the first book. And it was a very good set up for the third book which I have already read. I recommend it.

Breaking the Agenda was not what I expected AT ALL. In a good way? Yes.  Breaking the Agenda is the second book in the Garnet series. It's basically the story of Martie's mother, Magda. It starts off in the present and goes to the past to explain everything that has happened to her. I was expecting a continuation of Martie's adventure, but got the story of Magda instead.  Breaking the Agenda was interesting, but not exactly necessary to the series. I felt like I was reading one of those extra books that aren't actually a part of the series. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it a lot. I was really curious on the story of Magda while reading the first book, so Breaking the Agenda answered all my questions. At some point, I was kind of bored with the explaining, but realized it was necessary.  The ending? I almost peed myself. If I didn't get the third book in advance I probably would have died. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE THIRD BOOK BEFORE READING THE SECOND.  Overall, I would recommend Breaking the Agenda to readers who like YA, romance, and a teeny bit of SciFi. Breaking the Agenda was definitely worth reading and I'm up for reading it again.
