When I read the first Book, Breaking Free, I totally fell in love the all the characters. I was so excited when I saw that the second Book, Breaking Through was out that I had to read it. Once I started reading Breaking Through, same thing happen as the first book, I couldn’t put it down. I was up very late reading, till I realized that I had re-read the same sentence 3 times and couldn’t remember what I had read!
I went to sleep thinking about this book and at 6 am, it was in my hands before I even had my first cup of coffee. In Breaking Through, we don’t just have one couple, but, in fact, there are 3.
First off, I really like the fact that we got to see the continuing story between the 2 main characters from the first book, Hawk and Zoe and we get to see how their relationship keeps getting stronger. Again, both play a big role in Breaking Through. I fell in love with these two all over again.
In fact, most of the characters from book one are in this story, except for Flash, who is still missing and Derrick who is sitting in jail.
The second couple, is also the main Hero and Heroine, Tess and Brett. Brett is Zoe’s brother and a soldier on Hawk’s team. Brett spends most of the first book in a coma. When he wakes up, he has no memory of the whole last week before he was injury, while on duty in Iraq. Tess is the newbie in this story. Brett has recovered and is wanting to return to active duty status when the Sh*t hits the fan. Tess is a newspaper reported and Brett goes to her for help, trying to clear his name for a crime that he can’t remember. The sparks fly the moment these two meet. This is when the adventure really starts.
The final couple is Clara and Russell. Clara is Zoe’s and Brett’s mother. We first met Clare in Breaking Free, well as Russell, who was Brett’s Dr. while he was in a coma. This was the storyline what stole the show for me. It’s so sweet and tender, but at the same time it was the most heartbreaking story of them all. I normally don’t cry reading books, but Teresa Reasor masterfully pulls at every human heart string. I think I must have hit all the major emotions in one chapter alone. One minute I cried like a baby and the next I was pissed off, wanting to punch someone.
The only reason I didn’t give this book 5 stars, was the fact that, in my opinion, because of the powerful dynamics of Clara and Russell’s storyline, I felt it caused Brett and Tess’s story seemed lacking.
I’m so looking forward to reading the next book in this series, I NEED to know what happened to Flash!!

The story of the SEAL TEAM continues here, and even though book one did not end with cliff-hanger, this book follows the first story and I wouldn't recommend to read it as a stand-alone.
I'm enthralled with this team, they brotherhood, extended family feel, respect and protectiveness of each other.
On Breaking Through we don't only get the suspense of the war and service in Iraq, but also terrorist attacks at home, political games that are played against the team, and family dysfunctions. Just about all kind of jeopardy you can think of, the team has to face it, deal with it, and find solution. The many narrow escapes of danger builds a spine-chilling adventure.
In this book romance is plenty and with multiple couples. They love completely, passionately, lustfully, and intensely. They are willing to make sacrifices for each other, protect each other till the end, stand by and up to each other, no matter what they are facing.
There was couple times a bit confusion with the timeline, but over all very satisfying continues to the story of the SEAL TEAM.
Four spoons for Breaking Through!!

Ensign Brett Weaver has been in a coma for a month and when he wakes he finds out that he is being investigated for murder! How is he going to be able to prove his innocence? He really hates the idea of going to the press but when he meets Tess Kelly he decides to try and get the press on his side. But can he trust her with his other secrets?
Tess Kelly has been trying really hard to live up to her father’s expectations. And when she meets Brett Weaver she may just have the chance to impress her father! The secret she discovers about Brett could land her a great story but with her feelings growing for the man she must decide which one means more to her. The story or the man.
I am loving this series! I can not wait to read more. They keep you on the edge of your seat and are absolutely amazing! Teresa Reasor is a fabulous author and I can’t wait to meet the rest of the team!
Teresa Reasor writes military romance with heart. Her characters are real. They have problems and crushes, bad days and funny moments. I have read and enjoyed the first book in the series, Breaking Free, and it was so wonderful to revisit the characters I’d met and enjoyed in that book. Besides, delivering tension and emotion, Ms. Reasor also explores the dynamics and tangles of parent-and-child relationships throughout Breaking Through and this was a theme that truly resonated with me and made me fall in love with the characters. If you want a read with substance, check this book out.

Breaking Through is the first of the SEAL Team Heartbreakers series that I have read. It works perfectly as a stand-alone book but I can't wait to go back and read the first one. The book is filled with inside information on the workings of a SEAL team, making the reader feel part of the action. Yet Ms Reasor manages to weave this information into the story so seamlessly that it never interferes with an interesting and complex plot. Beautifully written, a must read
