"What's in It for Me," the first track on Breathe, Faith Hill's follow-up to her starmaking third album Faith, is livelier than anything on its predecessor, but that doesn't mean it's country, even if it kicks off with sawing fiddles. This builds upon the pop overtures of Faith and turns Hill into a full-fledged diva -- something that should be clear from the cover of Breathe, where she's moussed and styled like a supermodel. And Breathe is as bold and brassy as any big pop album, which only makes sense since this is a country album in marketing only: it's an adult contemporary album, as Faith was before it, but where that was a bit of a humble affair, Hill is ...

This builds upon the pop overtures of Faith and turns Hill into a full-fledged diva -- something that should be clear from the cover of Breathe, where she's moussed and styled like a supermodel. And Breathe is as bold and brassy as any big pop album, which only makes sense since this is a country album in marketing only: it's an adult contemporary album, as Faith was before it, but where that was a bit of a humble affair, Hill is perfectly comfortable with acting like a star here, belting out songs whether they're rockin' anthems like "I Got My Baby" (which could have been a big hit for Whitney Houston in 1985), effervescent pop like "The Way You Love Me" or a power ballad like "Breathe." She's still celebrating love instead of singing about heartbreak, and while this doesn't have the warm, cozy feel of Faith, it has a punchy, rousing feel that makes this an inspirational aspirational record -- something to push you forward instead of being happy of where you are. If Hill still doesn't have the gaudiness or hooks of Shania Twain, or the sense of fun, that's fine -- this isn't music for the weekend, it's for getting through the week, and it's as good in an office as it is at home, the defining moment of Faith Hill's superstardom.

    What an Accomplishment!

This album is certainly deserving of 5 stars because Faith brilliantly shines through in her music. This is the kind of album that you wake up to in the morning and listen to in the car yet can fall asleep with at night. These songs deliver a sense of love, hope, FAITH, encouragement, and power. Mrs. McGraw's growth and maturity in her music and the new spirit she has found as a wife and mother are evident in this album. Hats off to Faith for a job so marvelously well done!

Faith Hill's cd Breathe is the best cd that she has made.

Faith Hill's most recently released album Breathe is the best cd that she has ever released. Unlike her two previously released cds, this one offers a more mature sound with new songs that suggest her own views about life. In the first two cds, Faith had to be safe in the songs that she released and the language that she used. However, now that she has gained an audience and sold millions of albums worldwide she is allowed to have greater influence of her own music. In the song ''There will come a day,'' Faith sings her views about God and the pain the world today. Considering the fact that she is not a gospel singer, this could be risky towards her career, but since she has already established herself as the greatest female vocalist in country music according to last year's Grammy¿s she is allowed to make her own choices about her career. With this album, Faith Hill returns back to the country music charts and the secular charts with the title track ¿Breathe.¿ Another reason that this is Faith Hill's best cd is because she collaborates with her husband Tim McGraw. In the song, ''Let's make love'' Faith and Tim are not afraid to express how much they really love each other. On her other album This Kiss their song together was not quite so emphatic in expressing their love about one another. I think that this is Faith Hill's best cd because of the lyrics she picks to express her thoughts and the variety of music she used. The songs range from slow to make you want to get up and dance. I enjoyed this album very much, and I although it will be hard I think that her next one will be even better.

    Faith Hill is the greatest

Faith Hill is the greatest because she has a wonderful voice. I am glad she got married to Tim McGraw. The reason I am glad she got married is because she needed someone to talk to besides her producure. She is very buetiful. She and her husband sing togther most of the time. The song that they sing together is Breathe. It is a very big hit on Country Music Television because it is on this channal more than twice a day. I wish I was a singer just like her. Faith and Tim sound great together. They also look great together. They know have two children. I am very happy for them. They have two little boys. They live in a normal house. There is a lot more that is very important things that I could say but I have to rap it up. I really think she is the greatest. She is so important. I really love her music. She is so wonderful.

    Absolutely Awesome

Faith Hill, with her amazing talent and beautiful face, has been dominating the country music scene for years. Now with her latest album Breathe, she has sucessfully crossed over into the pop music world. In her years she has gained in maturity and confidence and this album is living proof. Her managers and songwriters are creating material for her to maximize the talent and happiness that she pocesses. An amazing marriage and the joy of motherhood has given her a new sense of joy in her life which really comes through in this happy, upbeat album. Hats off to having Faith!!!

    *ENCHANTING*

What a woman! A mother, wife, singer and beauty along with many other incredible traits! Her start in music was in country. But the pop world is thanking her tremendously for crossing over with other stars like Shania Twain. Breathe. That's what many people need to be told when they litsen to that song! Faith Hill definately has gifts and she is sharing them! THANK YOU! But she didn't stop with stopping our breath and coaxing us to breathe; she also is telling her sweety pie, Tim McGraw, ''Let's make love all night'' which is enhanced because it's truly what they feel. THEN, she also tells the listener that she loves the way her lover loves her! (What a mouthful) The CD can't go wrong. BECAUSE its vocalist can't either!
