Sometimes the one who broke your heart is the one who needs saving the most.

She’s not willing to give him anything but a taste of his own medicine, and this may be her chance for payback. But is she only getting in way over her head?

Even as she plots her revenge, Piper discovers that something has changed with Sasha, and she finds herself struggling to justify holding on to past hurts as he continues his quest for atonement.

I absolutely LOVED this book! Once I started reading it, there was no putting it down. This is the first book by Alexia Purdy that I have ever read, but I am definitely a fan of hers now! The characters were amazing as was the story. Piper was a shy girl who had been through many heartaches in her life. One more heartache caused by the boy she had fallen for and she built a wall up around her emotions, not really letting anyone in. A few years go by and the one who broke her heart comes back into the picture. She sets out to hurt him the way he hurt her, but will she succeed? This is definitely a must-read!

What an emotion packed story. It leaves you loving all of the characters and wishing the best for them. This is a different direction for this author to branch out and try romance on for us and with that she hasn’t disappointed us at all. When true love separates, is there ever an easy way for it to begin again? After 6 years of being apart, Piper and Sasha have a chance meeting and the fires ignite once again. But can Piper protect her heart from Sasha after all the pain she endured long ago? With so much resentment after how she was left last time can she open herself up for the possibility that things might end the same way again? Sasha isn’t going to take the chance of losing Piper again. He’ll do everything he can to keep her this time. This was a great read for me from Ms. Purdy.

    Breathe Me

I fell in love with this book immediately. I was only meant to read a couple of chapters but the book had other ideas and I was so gripped that I ended up reading the whole thing in one sitting. It wasn’t just the normal girl meets boy, boy hurts girl, boy wins back girl and they live happily ever after. There was real turmoil and situations that anyone could find themselves in throughout the book. The emotional twists took the book to another level, and I couldn’t help but feel for the characters. I will definitely read Piper and Sasha’s story again and again.

I received an e-Arc of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

OmG! What can I say other then breath taking? Alexia has rushed right into the contemporary romance genre. Breathe Me is her first book to fit into this category. It does not disappoint. You get pulled into the plot immediately. Sasha and Piper were lovers back in college days. A situation came up where Sasha had a choice to make and he didnt want to ruin Pipers life. The choice left them both devastated and heart broken. Fast forward some years and we find Sasha trying desperately to get Piper to accept him back into her life. Does she do it? Read this tantalizing story and find out!

The cover for Breathe Me is perfect. I'm looking at it as I write this review with a big smile on my face. It encapsulates the story beautifully.

The strength of this story was in the characters. I loved both Piper and Sascha immediately. They were easy to cheer for and I so desperately wanted them to make it. I loved Piper's complexities and her backstory made all her fears and insecurities completely legit.

The story is filled with unexpected surprises, which I found both good and bad. I like not knowing where a story is going to go and found myself wanting to get back to the book so I could see what was going to happen. On the other hand, I felt like a few things came out of nowhere and would have liked a little foreshadowing first. However, this didn't deter from the story as a whole. I still came away with a smile on my face and a satisfied sigh.

If you're looking for a story of sweet love, emotional endurance and a little heartache, then this is the perfect book for you.

I was first drawn to this book by the cuteness of the cover! I admit it. I am a cover junkie. If it's pretty or looks cute I pretty much buy it. Overall, I liked this one. It was a fast, cute read. I will say it was a bit lacking in depth and I wish I had more plot development. I did feel as if the plot moved a bit too fast and that everything was resolved a bit faster than I would have liked.

I did like the alternating POV's and the flashbacks really help us a get a feel for just how deep Piper's heartbreak goes. We also get to see how Sasha reacts and helps us understand some key things concerning his actions.

With that being said, it was a cute love story between Sasha and Piper. Sasha broke Piper's heart and now pops back up in her life years later. She is completely unprepared for his reappearance and even though he still makes her weak in the knees, she refuses to let him back into her life and her heart. Instead, she wants revenge. She wants to make him hurt like he did her once upon a time. Yet, she's finding that matters of the heart are rarely that simple. Sasha manages to work his way back in, despite her efforts to keep him out.

We do have some pretty important side characters. Joss is Piper's cousin, and the two are very close. Joss has a daughter, Leah, and the two are really the only people that Piper has in her life. Cam is another important character, but I'm not going to say exactly where he fits in. But he is all kinds of adorable and definitely steals your heart.

Alexia did have a few plot twists that I definitely did not see coming. They are heartbreaking, but I think at the end of it, Piper comes out a much stronger person.

    No no no

Disappointing. Jumps around from parents dying, (both sets), best-friend-cousin dying, brother in foreign country mixed up in Russian mafia gambling debt, expired visas. A Jackson Pollack painting makes more sense than this.

I received this ARC copy to give an honest review. This was a really short and adorable love story. The only problem I truly had with the story is that Sasha never truly came clean with why he broke up with Piper in the first place. This isn't your normal boy and girl fall in love, break up, meet up years later type of story. There is a story within it, you have a young woman whose heart was broken by the one person she truly loves! Only to see him years later and all those feelings along with being upset come rushing back into her heart. I really did like the characters in the book, and my heart went out to Piper on more than one occasion in the book.

If you are looking for a cute, love story then I would highly suggest you get your copy now.

Ugh the feelings. I liked this book, I bought into the story of Sasha and Piper, and their fate. I almost cried and that is something I just don't do. I can't tell you why, because I don't believe in spoilers. There were a lot of beautiful moments, and as always Purdy describes the scene in a way that makes you feel like you are there.

I am glad I only lost a dollar on this lame "romance" novel. I skimmed it in an hour. Yes, it was THAT bad.
