Overview

Sometimes you meet the right person at the wrong time…

Mark Williams has loved Meredith since he was seventeen. A successful man with a strong family, he’s worked hard to move on from Meredith breaking his heart all those years ago. When his path crosses with the only woman he’s ever loved again years later, Mark knows there is nothing he won’t do to keep her in his life. But when the going gets tough, will Meredith stick around or will he lose her again?

…But true love has a way of finding its way back.

Meredith Summers is a dancer. One of the first things she learned in following her dreams is that timing is everything. She has spent the past ten years following her dream touring with mega-stars while trying to forget the high school sweetheart she left behind. Now she’s back in Seattle, running a successful dance studio with her best friend Jax and determined to move on from her gypsy past. Until the day she sees Mark Williams and time stands still. It’s as if no time has passed at all when Meredith finds herself in Mark’s arms again. The chemistry, the bonds and the love are as strong as ever and hearing Mark whisper breathe with me in her ear is a balm to her wounded soul. But will she grab onto this second chance at love, or is the timing all wrong for them again?

Don't miss catching up with the Montgomery and Williams clans in this latest installment of the With Me In Seattle Series from New York Times bestselling author, Kristen Proby.

“There were days that I would have exchanged a year of my life just to touch you one more time.” –Mark Williams

    Fantastic read

    ## Marvelous read; although I must agree with some of the previous reviewers, it wasn't the best of the series. I loved Mark and Meridith together. They were so fun and playful. And their banter was quick and witty which I always love. Catching up with the fam is another plus. And of course Kristen's writing is superb as always. The only issue for me was that there wasn't much conflict (the one at the end seemed forced) which in turn left me hanging for some kind of climax. Regardless, this is one of the best series I've ever read and I'm anxious to get to know Dominic and Alecia in the final installment.

    Least favorite in series

The series started off great! As it's gone on, I've liked the female characters less and less. I find that instead of rooting for them, I'm almost annoyed with them. There is no underdog, all these women (men too) are practically perfect, have gone through hardships that most everyday people go through, & I didn't feel I could relate to any character in this entire series. I'm hoping the new series being released is a little more down to earth. The steamy scenes were never disappointing though.

I fell in love with Kristen Proby's With Me in Seattle series with the very first book! Natalie and Luke drew me in and I have been in love with the series every since! This book was no different. Luke Williams and all of the Montgomery's are ever present in this book but this is Mark William's story. He fell in love with Meredith Summers as a teenager and this story picks up 10 years later. What I loved about it was the prequel at the beginning which gave us some of their history. This book introduced us to two new men Jax and Logan who are a perfect fit in this series. I laughed out loud especially during the Vegas trip! I cried during parts but Kristen Proby's books are not complete unless you do both during them. This book does not disappoint although I am sad that the next book in this series will be the final one I can say with certainty that it will be just as amazing as all of the others in this series. I am so glad that I stumbled across Come Away With Me because had I not I would not have found this amazing author or this amazing series. If you haven't read this series it is not too late to start. I know you will love it just as much as I do.

    OMG.....WOW

Once I finally got this book...no thanks to BN I could not put it down! It was fantastic. I absolutely LOVE M&M :-). I laughed, got angry and I cried. Boy did I cry when M had the accident and everything from M's past came tumbling back. I was literally crying real tears which were streaming down my face. I kept saying OMG NO. The updates on the other characters from all her others books makes me laugh so much. I love being kept in the loop with them. I absolutely love the entire family. Jax what can I say about Jax and Logan.....I loved him for his protectiveness for M and the way he fell right into the family. If you have not read this series then I strongly suggest you do. Although this series can be read as a stand alone I do not recommend that because then you will not know who the characters are. Read the series you will not be disappointed.

Sometimes you meet the right person at the wrong time¿ Mark and

Sometimes you meet the right person at the wrong time…

Mark and Meredith were high-school sweethearts. They were each other’s firsts. They loved each other deeply, but at seventeen with future goals and dreams ahead how could it last? Devastating both their hearts, Meredith chose to embark on her future without Mark. Where she was headed and what she wanted to achieve she couldn’t bear any distractions. And that’s exactly what Mark was for her. A distraction.

…But true love has a way of finding its way back.

Fast forward ten years later and Meredith is back in town. A tragic event reunites her and Mark. When they see each other again, it’s like no time has passed. The feelings and knowledge of one another are still there. Stronger now with age and distance. But can they make it work? Is their time now or will Meredith walk away from Mark again?

“You are my biggest what if, M.”

Kristen Proby has a way of writing believable fiction. I forgot I was reading a romance novel and instead felt like I was witnessing two people meant to be together finally find their way to each other. She truly brings her characters to life.

Mark and Meredith never got over each other. There may have been lovers between their separation, but none came close to ever making it into their hearts. There wasn’t a moment that one didn’t think about the other.

“…It’s hard to forget someone who gave you so much to remember.”

But fear, not the chase of future dreams, may be their downfall this time around. Mark doesn’t trust that Meredith won’t leave him again. She’s chosen to leave him behind before. Meredith is terrified of losing him. After all, everyone she loves…dies. There’s a scene towards the end of this book where Meredith is faced with her fear. It is heart wrenching and painful to see what triggers her fear of loss. Kristen Proby had me curled in a ball, clutching my Kindle and bawling my eyes out. That particular scene really made me reflect on my own life and how fast things could change. I wanted to gather my kids and husband and just hold them, being that is was well past midnight at the time I let them sleep. But it was a good reminder of what not to take for granted.

“There were days…I would have exchanged a year of my life to touch you one more time.”

Of course Breathe With Me was full of steamy bedroom scenes that could have fogged up my glasses. Mark in the bedroom…yum! Alpha male, adoring, attentive. Oh the characters that reside in Ms. Proby’s head.

“I love you so much it hurts to breath, Meredith.”

One thing I’ve said time and again throughout my reviews of this series is I love how we see everyone. I mean every character from this series. We see their lives evolve. Babies born and children growing. We’re invited on the crazy, wild Girls Night Outs. And this book does not disappoint with the GNO. The Montgomery and Williams clans head to Vegas for a weekend. Yeah, let your imagination run from there.

The air smells of sweet liquor and bad choices as the girls laugh and high-five each other.

Overall this was a fantastic read and one not to miss. Only one more to go till the end of this amazing series. Thank you, Ms. Proby, for this wonderful journey you have kept us on. Until next time.

Again! Kristen has outdone herself, again. I go in to each book

Again! Kristen has outdone herself, again. I go in to each book thinking there is no way that I could love THIS one more. In Proby fashion, I fell in love all over again with the characters, the city, the family, but mostly with Kristen’s words. Kristen’s writing style pulls you in, allowing you to live in this bubble, transporting you into a world most only dream of. Her words paint mental pictures, where you not only read but experience, if only for a moment, a romance of epic proportions.
“If you love somebody, let them go, for if they return, they were always yours. If they don't, they never were.” Mark and Meredith! Young love is real, raw, and refreshing. There is only one flaw…youth. In the formative years of any one’s life, choices have to be made. Love or career? Will the future be as bright if you neglect your dreams? Will the one you loved so hard still be the breath that pushes you forward? Mark and Meredith’s reconnection allows them to make peace with the mistakes of the past while challenging their future.
Kristen has reached a new level with these two characters. The emotions in this story will take your breath away. Although the foundation was built for these two years ago, they have yet to enclose the walls of their relationship. Reading, and experiencing Mark and Meredith’s second chance was beautiful and demonstrates no matter how well you know a person love is ever changing. The best part was revisiting the Williams family! I loved Luke. He was the man that brought me to Kristen Proby and will always hold a special place in my heart. The family interaction was wonderful, while reminding the readers that there is more to Seattle then just the Montgomery’s. The end is near for the With Me Series. I need a moment of silence with a pause for tears! Ok, if you have yet to start this series it’s never too late to fall in love with the city, the characters, and the exquisitely touching stories of the Montgomery and Williams families.

Breathe With Me is book number seven in the With Me In Seattle s

Breathe With Me is book number seven in the With Me In Seattle series by Kristen Proby. I have been a fan of this series from the very beginning. I love the characters Kristen has created and with each new installment, I have enjoyed not only the story of a new romance for a member of the Williams / Montgomery clan, but I also love catching up on what’s happening in the lives of the others. In addition to the love (and lust) stories, I always get a real sense of family with this series; the author lovingly and humorously integrates a story within a story with each successive installment. Breathe With Me is no different. Mark Williams is Luke’s younger brother, and this is his and Meredith’s love story.

I always felt like Mark was the odd man out in the family. Luke, Mark’s older brother, is the mega movie star turned producer, and Samantha, his sister is the girl of the family, with all the rights, privileges and attentions that affords her. Mark, however, always seemed to be on the outside of every family gathering. He was aloof, if not perhaps even a bit detached, especially when it came to conversations about relationships and love. Well, we now know that’s because the only woman Mark has ever loved broke his heart, and Mark has struggled to move on. When Meredith walks back into Mark’s life ten years later, their respective worlds are turned upside down. It’s still there, and all the old feelings come rushing back, but can Mark trust Mer not to run and break him again? Can Mer overcome her fears and painful memories and allow herself the one thing she wants more than anything?

The Seattle series, generally, has always been predictable for me. Not plot predictable – that isn’t what I mean. Predictable in the sense of a trusted friend. I could trust where it would take me emotionally. I trusted there would be a little angst, because that’s just life, but I also trusted Kristen Proby to write mature characters who dealt with their issues in a caring and sensible way. When misunderstandings happened, they were handled, and within a chapter – no more than two – they lovingly resolved it and move on. I also could predict that there would be a few tears, but even then, just a few tender, touching ones, and whether they were sad or happy, they were easily brushed away. Breathe With Me broke – no, shattered – the mold on both counts. Mark and Meredith’s story delighted and gripped me in equal measure. The author dared to explore deep-seeded memories and pains, and although told from the character’s POV, Kristen skillfully and masterfully put the reader right in the middle of it. I felt the clenching in my heart and the painful inability to breathe right along with “M.” I am absolutely certain that more than once I could be heard sobbing, and there were several put down the reader, walk away and regroup moments for me.

I have loved and enjoyed all of the Seattle books. Like friends, each one touched me in a different way, and I could have never chosen a favorite. I dare to say I think that may have now changed. Mark and Meredith’s story took me somewhere different, and it elevated this series beyond just fun and sexy love stories – although, Breathe With Me is that too. Mark and Meredith are the kind of forever love that truly stand the test of time – and they’ve already proven it – now, they just have to believe it.

    Five+ unwavering, romantic stars.
