Seven years ago, Jillian burned just about every bridge she ever had. Being a lifelong fugitive, she'd seen it as her only chance to get away clean, but it had taken its toll.
In a world where those with supernatural powers must stay hidden from normal society, being a creature that even most of the supernatural community considered a myth did not make for an easy life. And when the ex she ran away from finds her again, it's about to get much harder. It doesn't help that she's still hopelessly in love with him...

Druids and witches and dragons, Oh My!

I JUST finished and where do I start?? First off, this is NOT up in the Air, there's no Mr. Beautiful, BUT there are elements sprinkled in that scream R.K. Lilley.

Attractive creatures, thrilling developments, and imaginative descriptions! This made me smile to read, because I still got R.K.'s very unique and fluid writing style, but this urban fantasy was such a different kind of story by her.

Jillian, what a being (wink wink)! She was sarcastic, tough and painstakingly beautiful. I loved her point of view and fell in love with her as I read about her troubled life and avoidance tactics.
She tries so hard to run from the fight, she never has time to think about how that just isn't working out for her anymore.

All of the characters (supernatural for the most part), were all so different with their own personalities and abilities, it gave the story so much depth. I did not find it hard to keep up with at all.

BUT, I will say this: I WANT BOOK TWO. I WANT BOOK TWO. I WANT BOOK TWOOOOO!
