Thrilling Irish Epic for Teenage Readers

Don't give this book to your teen on a night he or she has homework. They won't put it down until they've finished it! This book is so packed with adventure it rivals Homer's epic the Oddessy. The setting is Dark Age Ireland, when the Norsemen began to ravage the predominately pastorial island. Brendan and Kaileen, both teenagers, escape the Norse invaders with the help of a dumb friend, Dungal. Throughout the book they must confront this alien invader again and again as they are pursued across the Irish countryside. When they seek refuge with an Irish King, Brendan and Dungal both fall in love with his beautiful daughter, causing conflict between the two friends and a jealous Kaileen, whose beauty rivals that of the princess. This book has everything a lover of adventure and romance could want - battles, kidnappings, a high seas chase, rescues, pretty ladies and bold men.
