Meet the Author

Carlos Canales is a lawyer and writer. As a specialist in modern history, he has written dozens of articles and books such as The First Carlist War (1833-1840): Arms, uniforms and flags, and A Brief history of the War of Independence (1808-1814). He is a member of the Spanish Napoleonic Association and has directed the journal Ristre Napole�nico. Currently he is part of the North American historical project team, Edge & Cleaver. Miguel del Rey has acted as director of the journal Ristre and is the author of Guerra de la Oreja de Jenkins, La Guerra de los Diez A�os (1868-1878), Las Guardias Reales en las Campa�as de Italia, and dozens of articles for various military history publications. He is a member of various historical research associations in Spain, France, and Great Britain.
