Meet the Author

Tracey was born and raised in New Zealand, and that's where her love of horses was formed. Her grandfather taught her to ride at four years old, and she couldn't get enough.

Her love and passion for Abraham Lincoln and the entire Civil War era might have come from her American father, however, he lays no claim to influencing her. Tracey's mother used to tell her she was simply born in the wrong place in the wrong time.

Tracey hasn't always wanted to write. It took her a long time to get started, but now she doesn't seem to be able to stop, the joy of escaping to the 1860s is too much fun.

She's been happily married and gooey in love with her husband for seventeen years. They live in the Pacific Northwest with their two sons.

    highly recommended

Very good book, all the books in this series are really good, even if you think you would not like anything doing with time travel the romance incorporates it very well and anything doing with civil war is right up my alley

Book Four of the "Civil War Bride" Series by Tracey Jane Jackson

In addition to this book being a civil war time romance, there is also mystery and history involved. If you haven't read the books written previous to this one, you really need to do yourself a favor and read them. You will know more about the other characters in this book, friends of Gwendolyn and Andrew, some of who have come from the future, met each other and married, or married those they meet in the past where they are sent to stay. There is much more about the time travel in the previous books. Each of the past books are about one or more of Gwendolyn and Andrews friends, who find each other and after much that happens to them along the way, they marry and for some they start their families.
Now is the time for Gwendolyn and Andrew to find their way to each other through much that stands in their way, due to Andrews being quite a bit older and injured during the war. There are also problems for this couple and their friends when two of the women in the story are kidnapped, one of them is Gwendolyn. Will they find the women in time? Will Gwendolyn and Andrew be able to start their life together as this book is about their story? You have to read it to find out..... You also will find out if the Ransom is paid in time or if the mystery of where the women were taken to is worked out in time...
At the end of the book, you will find that the next book will have yet another couple who is planning a wedding and a life together and I am sure, there will once again be elements of history (the civil war), time travel, romance and mystery. What more could a person ask for?
