I rarely come across a book that I find hard to put down. Bridge across the Ocean is one of those books. Randy Boyd has captured not only the innocence that can come with teen aged years, but he has managed to fulfill the naive way teens and preteens think. Not only is this apparent with the two kids, Rob and Skeeter, but also the main character Derick Mayfield. Derick has battles over his love and desires and handles them so well that a wonderful, long lasting friendship with two boys/men develops. I love this book.

Haven't read anything like this ever. Very cool adventure novel with nice twist.

I found the events in this book very real. Many writers today don't write about real life issues. But not the case with Randy, he writes about an issue that is real. I don't want to tell the plot of the book but many people who are in the life is they are real with their sexuality they have faced this issue once, twice or many times. I know that I have.
