Architects Vaux and Jacob Wrey Mould designed the bridges, including some of America's oldest cast-iron spans. Photographers Jennifer C. Spiegler and Paul M. Gaykowski have been studying the bridges and arches of Central Park for years. They compiled historic images from various New York City institutions and drew from their own photography collections for this remarkable journey over and under the 843 acres of Central Park.
