If you are an aficionado of the Broadway Musical genre this is a "do not miss" book - it is a large format book crammed with photos from the musicals and goes from "The Merry Widow" to "Book of Mormon" - it contains New York Times reviews for many of the best known and loved musicals written when these shows were new to Broadway - Fun to read the reviewers contemporaneous opinions of some theatre giants....The shows are presented in chronological order with the exception of revivals - revival reviews are presented following the review of the original. This is one of those books you pick up, read a few reviews and then go on to something else but you always come back.
