Meet the Author

USA TODAY Bestselling author Chris Keniston's love of a good story and frustration with the end of a well known author's romance best seller, drove her to pen her own works of romance and fiction.

Her romantic women's fiction novels include a variety of themes from international settings dealing with wealthy millionaires, family feuds and tropical beaches, to the relationships between family and friends in small town Texas, and to sisterhood and friendship in the award winning novel The Champagne Sisterhood

Currently working on the contemporary romance Aloha Series, Chris Keniston is enjoying playing with her former military heroes. Using popular themes of small towns and sandy beaches blended with stories of the single dad, survivors guilt, an accidental wedding and more is making the Aloha Series a reader's choice.

A native New Yorker, Chris Keniston was on her way to Australia when she fell in love with North Texas. Little did she know the balmy seventy degree October days would turn into fry-an-egg-on-the-sidewalk heat in August!

Author of more than a dozen contemporary novels, including a finalist for the prestigious Golden Heart Award, Chris lives in suburban Dallas with her husband, two human children, and two canine children. Though she loves her puppies equally, she admits being especially attached to her German Shepherd rescue named Gunny. After all, even dogs deserve a happily ever after.

If you love romance books this is a good one. Even though this is a series you can probably read out of order but it helps to start at book one to really get to know the characters. An old college friend, Toni comes to visit Meg, and has a secret she isn't ready to share yet. Of course the handsome Doctor, Brooks, is the lucky recipient of the news, and can't help wanting to protect her. There is a twist you don't see coming. What is that?? You'll have to read to find out. This book can be easily read in an afternoon. The characters are very likable!

I am in love with the Farraday family and I can not choose my favorite! The warmth and strength of this family and the community is awesome. Brooks is the doctor in the family and is so busy with his practice that he barely has time to look at a woman. Toni has a secret that has her so tied up that a man is the last thing she is thinking of. No one is trying to play matchmaker with this pair, but there is something.... While the romance is the focus of the book, the reality and insidiousness of mental abuse is a pivotal point. Once again the chemistry is fantastic but things flow differently in this one since as far as everyone knows, she is married. I love the mystic dog that shows up again when Toni and Brooks meet and makes a surprising twist believable. I absolutely loved the book and it doesn't really show. I requested an advanced reader copy of this books and was thrilled to get it. The review is completely voluntary.

Oh, these Farraday men. The stuff of dreams. A dormant hero lies buried inside the rugged good looks waiting for the right woman to bring out the warrior. Brooks is every bit as dreamy as his brother but less complicated. When he cares he gives his all and his chance meeting with Toni wakes up the protector in him. It's easy to fall for a guy who is an open book with his emotions and for the most part Brooks fits that category. My love of strong female leads was fed by Toni. Refusing to be a victim, she sought out to save herself. Brooks was a inspirational tale of courage and faith - enough said.

***4.5 Stars*** We're back in Farraday country with the six gorgeous Farraday brothers and one sister for the wedding of their brother Adam and the love of his life, Meg O'Brien. Dr. Brooks Farraday and Antoinette Castelano Bennett met when he found her in the street. He didn't realize she was crumpled down because she was checking out the infamous dog we met in book one. He suspected that Toni had been hit by a car and being a doctor he stopped to help. Instead he got yelled at because his presence scared the dog away. It wasn't until his brother Adam stopped to see what was going on as he was making his way home that Brooks learned the woman was none other than Meg's best friend from college. She was truly a breathtaking beauty but she also was sporting a wedding ring. He fought his attraction to her as best as he could and he did a good job but we all knew what he was feeling. Toni married a man who seemed to good to be true...and he was. As he became abusive he held her captive, not allowing her to leave their home. This came in small doses but as his behavior worsened she began to plan her escape. He had been called out of town and visiting with Meg the week before Meg's wedding was a perfect place to hide out. Brooks and Toni both worked hard to behave themselves until Toni's circumstances could be rectified. They knew, but didn't tell each other, that they had finally met 'the one.' This was such a sweet, loving story. I enjoyed it a great deal and can't wait to move onto Connor's story. Thanks for another great read Chris. You know by now I love all your books (well the ones I've read anyway;) I'm going to be working my way through the list to read the rest of your books as I can afford them in 2017. (less)

On the way to the family ranch, Brooks sees what he thinks is someone injured in the road. What he finds instead is Toni petting a dog. (Love the mysterious dog showing up again!) Toni is on her way to help her friend get ready for her wedding. She is also trying to escape a terrible marriage. The sparks fly between Brooks and Toni, but what can Brooks offer her, a married woman? Only friendship. When Toni helps at Brooks' office, they start to grow closer. She eventually confides in him. Brooks offers Toni protection, but can he offer her more? I loved this story! It kept me hooked from beginning to end. I definitely recommend this book!
