Excerpt:

She opened another door to find a master bedroom, with a brown leather settee in the corner and a king-sized bed. She smiled at the sight of a pair of handcuffs dangling, still attached to one of the posts in the headboard.

Wow. One of them is kinky, she thought. She assumed it was Devlin. He seemed the type.

The front door opened. Yikes, she thought. Here she was snooping through the bedroom. She pivoted to run out only footsteps came down the hallway and she walked right into Jack.

Jack held her as she almost fell back on her ass. “Woah. Hey. You okay?”

“Uh, sorry. I was just exploring. I didn’t realize this was a bedroom.”

He smiled then, and he pulled away. “Nice underwear.”

She blushed. “I was letting the salve soak in.”

“Uh huh.”

“I was!” she insisted. Although he only smiled.

“So, do you like it?” he said, motioning to the room. “It’s probably pretty rugged. Not to a girl’s taste, right?”

“Actually it looks comfortable. Is it yours?”

“Pretty much.” His smile held and his gaze didn’t seem to turn away from her near naked rear end.

“I can probably put my shorts back on now.”

“No hurry,” he said.

She smiled at him and he didn’t move away from the doorway. She felt an intensity in his gaze. There was a hunger not unfamiliar to her. She felt the same. The black shirt he wore was half undone, and his chest bared to her, the simple cut of his clothes, it was all very hard to look away, too.
