Brownie and Pearl are ready to hit the hay. First they have a snack and brush their teeth. Next they pull on pajamas. (Well, Brownie pulls on pajamas.) Then they both snuggle into bed for a story—a story starring a cat, of course—until it's time for lights out. Sleep tight, little ones!

Editorial Reviews

From the Publisher
"Suitable for beginner readers and perfect for sharing with toddlers at bedtime. Biggs’s digitally rendered illustrations are full of bright colors, clean lines, and great expressions, and have plenty of white space. Adults should be prepared to explain the phrase “hit the hay.” Sure to be sought after by fans of the previous books."

Children's Literature - Vicki Foote
A little girl named Brownie and her kitten, Pearl, get ready for bed in this cozy and calming bedtime story. The simple tasks of taking a bath, putting on jammies, and having a snack are sweet and leisurely. The narrative tells just enough and allows the reader to enjoy the illustrations which are bold, bright, and cute. The illustrations were rendered digitally and are colorful and uncomplicated. Brownie reads a story about a kitty that Pearl especially likes and wants to hear again. Brownie and Pearl walk up the stairs to bed and get under the covers that are decorated with moons. They curl up like "happy little bed balls" and then it's good night to both of them. One of the "Brownie and Pearl" series, the book lives up to its "snuggly" description. It would be a nice book for parents to read aloud and for beginning readers to read independently. The story will be well liked by both parents and children. Reviewer: Vicki Foote
