Overview

When two of Jesus' seventy disciples are sent into the wilderness, they find themselves in a remote Alpine valley delivering the Word of God to an ancient people. A miraculous event occurs and they realize they are not only to give them the Word, but the abilities and gifts that go with it; one of which becomes memorization. Centuries later, when the people of the valley are asked to leave their homelands because of their known gift, their memorization of the entire Bible, a journey and adventure like none other begins. They quickly learn they had been imbued with more than just one ability; and soon, their bridge to Heaven becomes a race for their lives.

Editorial Reviews

The Sanford Herald - Audrey Poe
In Bruecke to Heaven, Children
of the Light, which is categorized
as Christian fiction, the Goldston
author takes readers through an epic,
historically accurate tale, interspersed
with a fictional account of his characters
to fill in the gaps.
Kirkus Reviews - Kirkus Indie
A historical novel about the spread of Christianity leading up to the Reformation. The author builds an accessible, intriguing narrativeusing the often complicated verses of the New Testamentthat chronicles the beginning of the spread of Christianity. Trons version presupposes that Jesus chose not 12 disciples, as commonly referenced, but six times that, and he empowered them with the same abilities and gifts as the original twelve.
Westbow Press
Trons historical epic shows how these early inhabitants of the Cottian Alps were tasked with preserving the word of God and details how they were able to pass down messages from the original apostles that would still be heard nearly 1,000 years later. Bruecke to Heaven gives a compelling account of the deliberate, meticulous preservation of Gods lasting word.

Meet the Author

Timothy currently lives near the charming town of Goldston North Carolina on a small farm with his wife Sheryl and two children, Jonathan and Mary. He was born in Evansville Indiana, living in mostly rural areas around the historic small towns of New Harmony and Newburgh. It was there that he established his love for the country, which would eventually lead him back to his roots after graduating college at the University of Florida. Along the way, he rediscovered his long lost joy for storytelling and writing, something passed down from his grandparents. He soon found God leading him to begin authoring a book, based loosely on the history of his ancestors, the Waldensians.
