Children's Literature - Marilyn CourtotPersonal hygiene should be taught to children as early as seems reasonable. Along with baths, one of the important tasks in maintaining good health is regular brushing of one's teeth. In this song kids are brushing in the morning and again at night. They are encouraged to go up and down as well as left and right. The illustrations poke a little fun by having kids on the left and right of a spread and one upside down. After brushing, then kids need to swish and rinse to get rid of all that toothpaste. Most of the toddlers are wearing colorful pajamas and there are cute little items in scenes such as the duck toothbrush holder and the little dog brushing his teeth. It is an amusing and easy lesson to swallow. Part of the "Rookie Toddler" board book series. Reviewer: Marilyn Courtot

A board book that is simplistic and very cute. You read the book and then sing it the second time around.
