Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Marilyn Courtot
If you are having a problem getting your toddler to brush his or her teeth, this book may be a big help. Max is visiting his friend Millie and they are getting ready for bed. When Millie's Dad asks Max if he wants help brushing his teeth, Max holds himself up and answers "N-o-o-o! Max do it." Then he demonstrates his prowess with the tooth brush—up and down front and back all his teeth are nicely scrubbed. The real fun comes when he swishes the water around and spits it in the sink. Max then launches into his clean teeth dance. Millie, who has always resisted brushing her own teeth, will not be outdone by her friend. Nothing like peer pressure to get a kid moving in the right direction. The illustrations are full of charm and children will sympathize with the characters. For those who like to look at and discuss pictures there is plenty here in each scene that offers opportunities for give and take between toddler and caregiver. An "Usborne Toddler Book."
