R.P. Ruggiero lives in the Pacific Northwest with his wife and two sons. He spends as much time as he can in the outdoors and strives to live by Robert Heinlein's credo that, "Specialization is for insects." When he is not outdoors, writing, or learning a new skill, he works coordinating people to achieve their common goals. He brings his almost two decades of years of experience in group dynamics--particularly when people are under stress--to good use in writing The Brushfire Plague; a novel grounded in neighborhood defense during a devastating plague.

Great story but the software is not working correctly. the page takes forever to load. bad for intense fight scenes ;o)
This is a great book. I don't usually read post-apocalyptic novels but this series has captured my attention. I enjoyed the plot twists. I was caught by surprise by a couple of them. It will be interesting to see how the author works them into the next book. This is a great read, everyone should read it.
While many post-apocalyptic novels fit a stereotype, Brushfire Plague original and Reckoning break the mold. Here we have a set of very realistic characters dealing with an extraordinary new world. Cooper suffers a reckoning for himself, his family, and his best friends and neighbors. The other reckoning is how the plague has upturned everything and created a newly altered world. The book was a great read, and I would heartily recommend.
