Kirk Franklin might get the glory, but the members of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony are the true progenitors of hip-hop/gospel. There's a palpable, spiritual anguish layered beneath Krayzie Bone, Layzie Bone, Bizzy Bone, Wish Bone, and Flesh-N-Bone's thuggery; a longing for the divine that's cloaked within their woeful tales of ghetto survival and street vengeance. All these elements are as compelling as ever on this, their triumphant reincarnation as a group following solo turns by Bizzy and Krayzie, as well as the launch of their label, Mo Thugs. All these elements are as compelling as ever on this, their triumphant reincarnation as a group following solo turns by Bizzy and Krayzie, as well as the launch of their label, Mo Thugs. The quintet's trademark sing-song, rapid-fire delivery and diamond hard beats are back, as is its dizzying yet masterful incorporation of hypnotic rhythm and blues tracks. While the violent imagery and ample profanity on tracks like "2 Glocks," "Battlezone," and "Murder One" firmly underscore their street cred, the disc's real shock lies in the neo-soul sounds that flourish on the Prince-inspired "Change the World," the mellow groove of "Don't Worry," and the doo-wop diddy "Weed" -- a swooning love song in praise of blunt-smoke. It may seem premature to talk about February-releases like this, but BNTHResurrection is already a candidate for one of the finest hip-hop records of the year. Ernest Hardy
All Music Guide - John Bush
Almost three years after the epic-length Art of War album and following solo albums by group members Krayzie Bone Thug Mentality 1999 and Bizzy Bone Heaven'z Movie, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony returned with a comeback album fittingly named BTNHResurrection. Much has changed in the rap game in just a few short years, however. Bone Thugs were on top of the world between 1995 and 1996, though now they're merely trying to fit in during an era when weed-smoking gangsters have been replaced by champagne-sipping players, and any hint of vocal harmony will get you labeled an R&B act. Over the course of the 16 tracks here, the core trio work to their strengths, constructing dense rhymes and trading off with a smooth flow. It's difficult to escape the feeling that time has passed them by, however, and BTNHResurrection isn't quite the return to old glories that fans must wish it could have been.
Rolling Stone - Miles Marshall Lewis
Bone Thugs may have only come full circle with this roughneck pop, but BTNHResurrection is a lively trip.

    off tha chain

BONE.BONE.BONE. this cd is off the meatrack. my god! ive never had an album that has so many great songs. out of 16 tracks i like 14. this is the (bleep). they saying bone is falling, but they aint. what do these critics know...uh, notin! only the fans can say how good or bad the album is. i've had this cd for a long time now, and i cant say that i dont listen to it, cuz i do. everyday jammin to the cd. this album tells tha world bone is back and they aint leaving. you might not agree, e.1999 eternal is a good cd...but for some reason i like this one more. songs like ''resurrection'' and ''change tha world'' were hits, but they could've been higher(no.1). respect to all these radio stations, but yall dont play no bone songs. i be requesting and yall dont ever put tha song, nothin. time has changed tha game. rap was about thugs now its about playas wit bling bling. but bone shows the rap world ,that they still got it. and all this stuff saying bone dropping cds like ryhmes is nonsense. other artists drop cds fasters than bone, and their cds are garabe, but i aint sayin no names. 2 fingers to all bone fans world wide. keep thuggin. bone fan fo life.

    Bone 4life

This cd is one of my best. I bought it like a long time ago and i'm still listening to it. Every song is tight, and bone has come back with a little different style. Some people be sayin' bone is fallin', but it never will, give 'em some respect. They have come a long way since faces of death, and this album is perfectly constructd for today's time. They ain't rappin so much about satan and stuff. Not as good as e. 1999, but every artist's near first album is best. buy this if your gettin' into bone, or a hardcore bone fan. RIP EZ

BTNH CAN'T GET NO BETTER BABE

This album is really good. I can't remember the last time I like so many tracks from one album. Their beats are the hottest. You have to pick this up. If you're a fan you'll like it, if you're not you'll become one.

The greatest album of the millenium

Bone thugs will never change and thats how I belive real rap fans want it Ever since faces of Death they have had us hooked dont forget east 1999 ,or creepin on ah come up or even art of war they continue to make good music. I am so glad they dont rush albums out like Master P and Cash Money it makes you want Bones albums when they come out even more Ressurection deserves 5 stars because every song on the album is tight such as Paper and Servin the fiends not to mention Murder 1 and Battle zone even though they are often imitated by groups they still shine. Bone will never lose me as a fan as long as they keep expanding there topics in music and life MO THUG
