Overview

Just when you thought it was safe to go back to Pegramville…

Oh no! Bubba’s got problems…again! For months, Pegramville and Pegram County have been relatively peaceful. But then there’s the “attack” of the Pegramville Murder Mystery Festival, organized by none other than Miz Demetrice herself. Who knew people would make fun of the murders that happened in their own town? To add a spoonful of hot pepper to the mix, the local judge has just announced his run for the gubernatorial seat of Texas, and The Purple Singapore Sling has a new persona, causing all kinds of confusion, chaos, and commotion.

During the midst of the festival madness, Bubba’s truck has broken down, and he’s found a cache of original car parts. One of the boxes contains a lost soul’s plea that may be as old as the antique truck, “If someone finds this note, then I have been murdered. My name is M—.”

And you thought small towns were boring…

Book 2 - Bubba and the 12 Deadly Days of Christmas

The Bubba books are a great light read with a lot of laughs. Bubba is the Southern good ole boy version of Stephanie Plum.....you gotta love him! You"ll love the time you spend with Bubba and will want more!

This is classic Bubba! I love this series! If you haven't read any of these books, you should start with the first -- Bubba and the Dead Woman (I believe she offers it free, and if not, it is pretty cheap). These are wonderful books full of lots of laughs. This one is definitely no different. Let me just say that just the characters' names throughout this book had me rolling with laughter! I love this author and own all of her books. If you have not been introduced to her stuff, this is a great series to start with. I will say that what I love about her, though, is that her other stuff is completely different and yet equally as well written. Her characters are always well developed. Her plot lines are always great. Love you Ms. Bevill -- Please keep them coming. -- SPeeD

CLB is terrific. I thought i might start getting bored with Bubba & Co. But there i was bursting into out-loud laughter in the 'big' room at acupuncture, disturbing others' chi. Thank you and keep it up, Ms. Bevill!

This is book 4 in the series and you really do need to read them in order. This is a fantastic murder mystery series! Bubba just can't walk away from a good mystery. And his friends keep you laughing while you're on the edge of your seat hoping Bubba doesn't get hurt (again)!

I do love the Bubba series - this one focuses on Bubba figuring out a decades old murder or kidnapping or???...or maybe there was no crime? During all this, Pegramville is hosting a Murder Mystery Convention and most of the activity surrounding it is humorous. There's no Brownie (just a mention or two) but there's still lots of fun and the "crime" does eventually come to a conclusion!

I have really enjoyed all the Bubba Books. Interesting plots, also very funny. The author should check her east texas hick talk, I live in east texas and have never heard some of the words used. Even so I can't wait for other Bubba Books, all excellent reads so far. Hope for more.
