BUBBLE BUBBLE TOIL AND TROUBLE Bubble Trouble by Margaret Mahy illustrated by Polly Dunbar Bubble Trouble is a Boston Globe Horn Book Award winner most definitely because of the chemistry between the words and illustrations. Children will enjoy this read about how a little girl gets her brother stuck up high in a bubble and everyone is working collaboratively to get him down safely. Polly Dunbar's illustrations help not only accentuate the story, but also bring it to life. While reading this babbly and rhyming book, children will relate to sibling issues, getting into trouble, and how fun bubbles can be. This can be used in lower level classrooms as a read along. You may want to make up some critical thinking questions or have children write their own solution to the "bubble trouble". This book will delight your heart as well as the children's.
