Editorial Reviews

Color Me Active - Rhonda Nash-Hall

Bubble Troubles is a delightful book written for children, but I certainly enjoyed it myself.  Twins, Mattie and Mark Miller, are adorable little Amish children who have plenty to worry about as they go about their busy lives.   This book teaches children to pray and give their worries to God instead of letting it upset them and rule their lives.   I felt like I was out in the snow sledding with them, walking home from the one-room school, and baking pumpkin cookies with mamm.

Delightful Duo! Please visit my blog to see my review of Bubble Troubles (Double Trouble #3) by Wanda E. Brunstetter! Mattie and Mark's activities differ from the English by their Amish way of life, dress and daily responsibilities on the farm, but they're children who share the same concerns and enjoy the same activities as all children.

Bubble Trouble is a good Amish story for young kids about twins who worry a lot about simple and complex things. It is a clean story that can be enjoyed at any age. This is the third book of the series but only the first one I have read. I also love the cover. Mattie and Mark Miller are nine year old twins. They are normal children who like to play, go to school, love their pets, enjoy their lives but also worry about things. They are a little different in that they don't watch t.v., play video games, listen to radio and drive in cars. They ride a bike built for two or walk to school. Mattie is good at playing ball, likes her dog, is terrible at spelling. Mark is smart and likes big words. He is not good at baseball. He enjoys his cats, and teasing his sister. When they worry or scared they pray for help and turn their problems over to God. This gives a good look at the Amish life for kids. I enjoyed reading Bubble Trouble and will continue to read books by Wanda E. Brunstetter. I was given this ebook to read and asked to give honest review of it by Netgalley. 05/01/2013 PUB.
