This CD was a great compilation of all the old school Cuban beats.

I cannot believe how much I love this CD. I saw her perform live and she's equally awesome. Omara captures that magic that cannot be described with words. Full of emotion, attitude, and soul. Her voice commands presence. The music tranports you back to an bygone era.. all you have to do is close your eyes.

If you like vocal jazz, latin music, women with beautiful voices, you will not be disappointed by this CD. She's like a cuban Ella Fitzgerald. It's easy to listen to, straightforward, very enjoyable.

I bought this CD for a road trip to Presidio, Texas from El Paso. It was pure ecstasy! Made me think I was transported to another time - the hey day of Havana, the band, Omara's voice - stunning. Great for dinner parties, but BEWARE - you will want to get up and dance.

Portuondo's sensitive readings -- and the characteristically warm BVSC production -- cast definitive versions of some of the Cuban ...
