This was a clearly written dissertation and is effective for advancing an argument and advocating for institutional support of a men's studies program. I also appreciate that the author was not a typical "pro-feminist" scholar but took a more holistic approach in his work. The dissertation specifically addresses the types of conditions that are required to assist college men with feeling safe enough to discuss their masculinities. Highly recommended.
