    Creating a solid foundation

I looked over several books on SEO before settling on this one. Building Findable Websites is very comprehensive and touches on subject that other books don't even mention such as 301 redirects and proper use of teh htaccess file.

The topics can get a little deep but anyone serious about understaning web standards and how SEO is made better by them should read this book. Even the big corporate websites aren't getting the fundamentals right and that will give anyone who reads this book an edge on the competition.
