I wish this book had been available when I started teaching. It presents a wide range of literacy activities perfectly suited for the middle and high school Social Studies classroom. The authors explain the rationale and show how to use these lessons in the classroom. They even provide a novel, yet logical management system for cooperative learning--something I have often struggled with.
