The Perfect Title for the Perfect Book

I have read many of the author's articles on PC hardware in several different publications. His articles are informative, direct and most importantly, useful. This book follows that trend. I have read it from cover to cover several times and always seem to discover new tips to use.

This is the book gamers and graphic pros have been waiting for!

Ohhhyahhh! Building the Ultimate Game PC is destined to be the hottest selling book for high performance gamers and graphic artists! Bad boy Loyd pulls no punches about maximizing your graphic performance, ping times and overall speed. This informative book answers the tough questions gamers and graphic pros are asking about the best 3D graphic cards, motherboards, chip sets, memory, processors, hard drives, audio cards, DVD's, modems, controllers, drivers, networks, etc. Not only does Loyd provide you with a tremendous wealth of information, but he also shows you how to build a rip and tear PC monster for yourself! So very cool indeed. The book further explores average and advanced topics such as: OpenGL, DirectX, Direct3D, positional audio, bandwidth, ping times, rendering, pipelines, AGP, frame rates, IDE, SCSI, cable modems, DSL, and LAN parties! As an original bonus, unlike most books on building PCs, this book is actually up to date! Loyd describes in detail the very latest in technology products, including the new GeForce and Savage 2000 3D cards and the new pulse pounding AMD Athlon and Intel's upcoming Coppermine. Even as a 10 year PC game and graphic veteran, I have learned a great deal more about the technology I've been playing around with. I also now have a strong enough confidence to never again buy an off the shelf slow cow computer. If your interested in the highest performance level from your present or soon to be built computer, then this book is definitely what you are looking for! And for those of you out there on slow cow computers, get ready to get fragged by the bad boys (and girls) of Ultimate Gaming PCs!
