Veteran pianist Dick Hyman is heard on seven tracks in the original soundtrack to Woody Allen's Bullets Over Broadway, playing piano, conducting, and arranging. The vocals feature a peppy female chorus, while the musicians accompanying Hyman include clarinetist Phil Bodner, trombonists Dan Barrett and George Masso, trumpeter Randy Sandke, and banjo player Cynthia Sayer, among others. Hyman and Derek Smith engage in a delightful duet of "That Certain Feeling," the leader solos in a lively stride rendition of "Thou Swell."
