Children's Literature - Beverley Fahey
There is a soft, cuddly, new toy in the bedroom and his name is Bumbletum. The other toys welcome him and try to figure out just what it is he can do. Milly Mouse can squeak, Teddy Bear growls, Peter Puppy wags his tail and Baby Wet and Drink can make puddles. Kangaroo decides that since Bumbletum's tummy is striped like a bee perhaps he can fly. Bouncing higher and higher on the bed, Kangaroo and Milly mouse demonstrate the proper technique needed for flying. When Milly crashes to the floor, Bumbletum comes to her rescue and discovers just what he is good at: giving hugs. Toddlers and the preschool set will delight in this charming story of friendship and self-discovery. Soft pastels evoke the cozy comfort of the bedroom pals and little ones will enjoy hearing it again and again.
