Overview

Gypsy and her friends may still be reeling from the information overload after learning more about who they are, not to mention the losses they sustained, but between the government, the Olders, and the Siphons, they have little time to rest.

After the Siphons force Pollyanna to commit a horrific crime on live television, the Cavies know they have to focus on not only getting her back, but by bringing the group of rogues to justice once and for all. The deeper they get into the world of experiments and government conspiracies, the clearer it is that there's no one to trust but themselves - any maybe they can't even trust that, anymore.

With their talents developing, their relationships changing, and millions of lives hanging in the balance, can the Cavies find a way to convince the world that they're more than what's been done to them? If they can't, they'll the ones who will spend their lives locked in padded cells...and the truth will be buried with them.

Meet the Author

Trisha Leigh is a product of the Midwest, which means it's pop, not soda, garage sales, not tag sales, and you guys as opposed to y'all. Most of the time. She's been writing seriously for five years now, and has published 4 young adult novels and 4 new adult novels (under her pen name Lyla Payne). Her favorite things, in no particular order, include: reading, Game of Thrones, Hershey's kisses, reading, her dogs (Yoda and Jilly), summer, movies, reading, Jude Law, coffee, and rewatching WB series from the 90's-00's.

Her family is made up of farmers and/or almost rock stars from Iowa, people who numerous, loud, full of love, and the kind of people that make the world better. Trisha tries her best to honor them, and the lessons they've taught, through characters and stories--made up, of course, but true enough in their way.

Trisha is the author of THE LAST YEAR series, THE CAVY FILES, the WHITMAN UNIVERSITY books and the LOWCOUNTRY GHOST stories. She's represented by Kathleen Rushall at Marsal Lyon Literary Agency.

I can't put these books down! There's mystery, good guys, bad guys, (not always knowing which is which), action, anguish, love, etc. A combination that is bad for those who wish to put the book down and do something else. Lol

An exhilarating ride with no comparison. I really do love this series. Trisha Leigh has NEVER disappointed me, and this book took me on a roller coaster ride that will permanently stick with me. Trisha has a knack for writing things that make me highlight constantly while I’m reading. Her ability to create a visual for the world she’s writing is multidimensional, and I feel like I’ve stepped into the world myself. BURIED truly did justice to this series -- exceeded my expectations! Gypsy and her fellow Cavies do not have the chance to relax as they fight to not only survive, but to find a way to keep the Siphons from using their own mutations against them. For me, the highlight of this series is watching Gypsy (aka: Norah Jane) evolve from an insecure young Cavy who sees herself as weak and useless to a strong young woman who not only finds her own value, but proves to others what she has to offer. If you haven’t taken the opportunity to read Gypsy and Alliance, go on a binge read so you can be ready for a book hangover that is SO well worth it. Bravo, Trisha, you’ve done it again!
