*Note: this review was given in exchange for an ARC of "Burn" by Erin McCarthy* The South Beach bodyguards are here...and Florida has never been hotter! With a perfect blend of innocent Isabel and stoic, sexy Ryan, "Burn" brings a whole new trio to the Erin McCarthy world. Isabel's mysterious attack mixed with her lingering attraction to Ryan read for one adorably steamy read. Can't wait to read Wester's and Alejandro's stories!

Erin McCarthy does it again! I have yet to read an Erin McCarthy book that leaves me disappointed! Even though this fad of Step's really annoys me...this one broke the mold. Ryan and Isabella are steps who never really lived in the same home. So they could have been old classmates for all the past history they share. Great fast paced book with lots of tension....fun.....drama.....and hawt fun! I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.

Burn the first in the new South Beach Bodyguard series by Erin McCarthy opens up with quite the hook- Ryan comes home from work and to an intruder in his home- his step-sister, Isabel fully NEKKID taking a shower! To reassure those weary on the typical step-sibling trope. This is NOT the case with Burn. Ryan & Isabel did not grow up together, they have only met briefly prior to the happenings in the book and both of their parents (who are on the somewhat shady side) were married & separated in a quick fiasco they threw upon their unsuspecting children. With that being cleared up Burn's opening was fully entertaining and quickly grabbed my attention hence the great hook! The rest of the story delivers an easy, yet somewhat slow-paced but fun read of smoking hot Ryan stepping up to unravel the mystery surrounding Isabel's amnesia- was it from a fall down the stairs or was it a planned attack? Ryan is determined to learn the truth and keep Isabel safe. In turn having a smexy alpha male going all possessive & protective on you how can one blame Isabel when lust & want ensues?! Erin delightfully carries the reader along in the slow build-up of their relationship and introducing easily like-able side characters along the way to set up for future books to come. All in all I enjoyed Burn and am looking forward to the next in line! *I received an ARC of BURN in exchange for my honest review.

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review. This was super cute its a new series about a body guard who had to take care of his X step sister who had a concussion. Was it from her being her usual clumsy self or was it because someone was out to get her? Her step father Micky deals in some shady stuff. Oh and her step brother is her sexy crush. Will they give into their feelings or not because of the family thing? its a great first book in a sexy new series I love Erin McCarty's books anpd this one was just as great as the rest! Don't miss it :)

One of my all-time favorite authors, Erin McCarthy, has just released her first book in her newest series, South Beach Bodyguards, titled Burn. And, it is so hot (yes, pun intended). In Burn, we meet Ryan Harris, a bodyguard who is confident in all aspects of his life concerning his job but completely clueless when it comes to his personal life. And, Isabel Rodriguez, a “good girl” who is shy, smart, loving and loyal but wholly unaware of her sex appeal. These two have history, and they need to re-define how they view each other in order to move forward. And, as if that was not enough, Ms. McCarthy throws into the storyline a little amnesia, danger, drama, and family tension. I thought this book was fun and sexy, and I felt like the characters of Ryan and Isabel were very relatable. I look forward to the next book in this series, Break! I received this book for free in exchange for a honest review.

Erin McCarthy's new series South Beach Bodyguards is another amazing read. One of the things I truly enjoy about Erin's writing is her chemistry with the characters. I love when a story makes me laugh because of the back and forth bantering between the main characters and this book does not disappoint. Ryan and Isabelle had me laughing so hard at times that I cried. Isabelle is hurt and can not remember who attacked her. Taking her father's advice, she goes to stay at her stepbrothers apartment. Ryan is shocked to see her there when he gets home and is even more confused when he realizes that her attacked has caused her to think of herself as Julia and be more forward in personality that Isabelle is. Its an enjoyable read that will leave you turning the pages for more. Can't wait for the next book in the series. Received and ARC from the author for an honest view.

Hot and steamy is how I would describe this book...from the very first few pages, it started smoking. Ryan and Isabel have an attraction that eclipses the reason that Isabel is in need of Ryan's help and protection! A great way to heat up a cold winter weekend

Ryan gets home to his apartment from a very long day at his job as a bodyguard where he works for his dad. Ryan is ready to put his feet up and relax. Little did he know that he was going to find and intruder in his home. Ryan was so suspicious he pulled out his gun and followed the noise to his shower where he see's a naked women in his shower and she is hot. Little did he know that its his stepsister Isabelle. She is at his apartment because she was knocked out at her home and cant remember what happened or who she is. Her dad feels its best to have her safely hidden away at ryans place until they can figure out who attacked or she remembers her attacker. Isabelle is not going to make this stay over at his place easy on Ryan. She has had the hots for him for quite a while and she is going to put the moves on him and Ryan is really having hard time resisting her moves. Ryan and Isabelle will have to work together to try and figure out who her attacker was. This book was a really fun and quick read. This book was the first book in the new South Beach Bodyguards series. I love that these characters were quick witted and i found my self chuckling at times for some of the things Isabelle says and the sex scenes were hot usual. I highly encourage readers of Eric McCarthy to give this series a try and even if you are looking for a book to try. I love it just because it was a fun quick read. I received this book as an ARC from the AUTHOR.

Wow! What a way to start a new series. Erin McCarthy never disappoints!! Filled with romance, intrigue, and loads of sexy hawt alpha, how could you go wrong?? BURN is the first book in the new SOUTH BEACH BODYGUARDS series and I can't wait to see what happens next!! The book can be read as a stand-alone, but where's the fun in that?? Just think of all those yummy bodyguards to come . . . Although other's have already mention the step-sibling issue, I'd like to reiterate: Ryan and Isabel's parents were married for a Hollywood minute (totally stole that from another reviewer), they never lived under the same roof, and only met a few times before she showed up naked in his shower (and as entrances go that one pretty well tops the list). So this is a non-issue really. My one complaint: the pacing of the story felt off at times. Though is was still a quick fun read, it seemed a bit sluggish in places then a bit rushed. I know this sometimes happens with the first novel in a series when the author is concerned with world building and setting up for the stories that follow, but I felt the book needed to either be longer or the character's needed less issues LOL. However, this is still a book I would definitely recommend. Any fan of Erin's previous books is sure to enjoy this one as well.

Burn by Erin McCartney is a fast hot read. I read it this afternoon and absolutely loved it. Ryan is 6 ft 5 in and not a pretty boy, but he is loyal. He works security for his Dad. His step sister Isabel has been secretly lusting for Ryan for the last year. After her family finds her injured, they take her to Ryan to protect her while they figure out what happened. Poor Ryan, things heat up when Julia (Isabel's alter ego) keeps taking her clothes off and trying to seduce him. I really loved Ryan and Isabel and loved the realistic tome to this story. Loved the humor and emotion. Really looking forward to the next two books. Very highly recommended.

Burn is the first in the South Beach Bodyguards series by Erin McCarthy. Ms. McCarthy is always a go to read for me and as always she did not disappoint. I was given an ARC of this book for an honest review. It did take me a little longer to read this book than the other books I have read from the author. The first few chapters go slower than I am used to but the pace and the steaminess does pick up and does not disappoint in the end. Southbeach bodyguard Ryan Harris walks into his apartment to find an intruder, as he investigates he discovers the intruder is not necessarily unwanted but is a sexy woman showering in his bathroom. He is even more surprised to see that it is he shy former step-sister Isabel that is naked in his apartment. Isabel has taken a fall down the stairs and a hit on her head and now she thinks she is bold, strong Julia who is not afraid to show her desire for Ryan. Will Ryan be able to resist his hidden desires when Isabel/Julia insists on walking around his apartment naked? Also will Ryan be able to overcome his commitment issues that were brought on by a mother her abandoned him and a father who never cared? This a fun filled steamy story about a bunch of bumps in the road that tries to keep these two apart. Will they be able to over come all of the heartache and difference to let their love show through?

Burn by Erin McCarthy is the start of a new series of books about body guards. It seems some people are having trouble as the main characters are step siblings, however their parents marriage, which lasted a year, took place when the "children" were in their 20's, they never lived together, and only met a handful of times. We get both points of view as the story shifts back and forth between his to hers. Lots of lust filled thoughts fill the book as we get to know both of the main characters, and watch them grow over a short period of time. Enjoyable fast read, stand alone. Received an ARC for honest opinion.

Ryan Harris is this sexy and hot bodyguard that I just want to call my own. Burn is the first book in a new series by Erin McCarthy. After reading the premise to the story I ca honestly say I wasn't sure if I could really get into the book only because it said "step siblings", but I can honestly say that I'm glad I was wrong because I really did enjoy this book. Isabel Rodriguez is Ryans step sister and she finds herself not knowing who she really is and happens to be the intruder that Ryan finds in his shower or why Isabel can't remember her name or how she even got to his place or that they were related (by marriage) Burn was an interesting read and I'm looking forward to more South Beach Bodyguard books books.

"Burn" is written by Erin McCarthy, and it is the first book in her South Beach Bodyguards series. It can be read as a stand-alone book. It features Ryan Harris and Isabel Rodriguez. Ryan and Isabel were step-siblings when their parents were previously married, but they hadn't seen each other for a couple of years. Isabel is in danger. Who is trying to hurt her? She doesn't remember her name. And why is she at Ryan's house without his knowledge? Ryan does his best to protect Isabel. Problem is, how can he be attracted to her and still do his job? Isabel has always had a crush on Ryan, but they're not related anymore. She wants him, and she makes it clear. Will they give in to their attraction? Will Ryan be able to keep her safe? In all honesty, when I read the premise that they were former step-siblings, I was weary because I don't really enjoy reading step-sibling romances. (Good thing they were not related!) "Burn" was an exception for me. It was a quick read and kept me on the edge of my seats. Erin did a wonderful job! If you're looking for a story that has romance and suspense, this book is for you!

Ryan Harris, oh I want one of him to call my own, he is soooo yummy and works as a body guard to boot, oh man I think I'm in love. This book was so good, the blurb tells you that its a stepbrother/sister type of story but that's not the main focus of the book, their parents were married for a Hollywood minute so in reality they are not related at all. Ryan comes home to find someone is in his apartment and when he sees who it, he is shocked, he has not seen Isabel in years let alone thought about her. Isabel however has thought of nothing but Ryan, she has had a crush on him for as long as she can remember. Ryan sees more than he plans on when Isabel comes out of the shower with nothing but a tshirt and pair of panties and then even more when she is eating pizza when she strips naked. The pull that Ryan feels to Isabel is amazing, but giving in would be wrong, she was his stepsister. The sexual tension between Ryan and Isabel sends sparks off the pages. Will Ryan give in to Isabel and give her what she wants?? Will they find out who attacked her before its too late??? Amazing book

A great start to a new series!! Ryan works for his dad in the security business and if it wasn't for that, Ryan wouldn't even talk to his dad. Ryan comes home from work one day to find his stepsister, Isabel, using his shower, calling herself Julia. Isabel was found unconscious with a head injury and taken to Ryan for protection until Ryan's dad could figure out if she is in danger from some of his less than legal business dealings or not. Isabel has always been quiet and reserved, she has also been nursing a year long crush on Ryan, the knock to the head has helped make her bold and opens Ryan's eyes to look at her in a more sexual manner. Ryan and Isabel try to come to terms with their suddenly changing relationship and deepening feelings for each other while also dealing with the danger that seems to surround Isabel. There was a lot of emotional angst in this book, Ryan is dealing with abandonment issues and the fact that his dad is a jerk and while Isabel is almost too sheltered, she still understood what was going though Ryan's head most the time. I can't wait to see what happens next!!
