    A reviewer

If you like action and excitement, The Burning by Kathryn Lasky is the book for you. This fiction book is about an owl named Soren. Soren and his friends are sent to an imaginary land called the Northern and Southern Kingdoms. They are sent to learn about war and fight with swords made out of ice. Then they will be ready to fight an evil group of owls called the Pure Ones. But the Pure Ones have more owls on their side. It takes place during the day and night. Soren is bold and courageous and Gylfie is sweet and tenderhearted. Twilight is bold and boastful and Digger is brave and nervous. My favorite character is Soren because he holds the band together. I would feel like Soren because I wouldn't want to kill my own brother. My connection is text-to-text because the Pure Ones have more owls and better weapons, and in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, the witch has more people on her side. I recommend this book because I like animals, action, and battles. My favorite part was when Soren battled Kludd. If I could change something, I would like Kludd's mate, Nyra, to be killed in battle with Kludd. You would have to like battles, owls, and action to like this book, but try it-you might like it! This book is suitable for ages eight and up.

    The Calm Before the Storm~49

Only a couple more parts. Next part will be at Guardians of Ga'Hoole series #7: The Hatchling. This part will be in Merida's pov. ~~~~~~ That sorceress was fast. I had blasted her with some type of magic ball. It exploded and the floor collausped. We both fell down and landed on the next floor down. I had been chasing her for sometime now. I sat down to rest. What was going on? Was Jay and the others okay? Poor Jackel and Jonas battling that dragon alone. I knew Jackel hadn't died yet. I could feel his life force. It usaully was stronger. He was getting tired. I couldn't tell if Jonas was alive but l hoped he was." That is sweet. You like to think about your friends before you die!", the sorceress voice rung out. I stood and searched for her." I'm not going to die!", l shouted at her." You may not, but your boyfriend will." A vision appeared in my mind. It was Jay and all the others running through a maze. There was a Cyclops running with them. Jay had a serious expression on his face. It was, suddenly, replaced with a look of pain. Jay winced and held his head. He fell on the ground and screamed in pain. He said one last word, before the vision ended," Merida." The vision disappeared. Tears filled my eyes." What did you do to him?" Pasiphae chuckled," I just.... its a secret. But he will never be the same. If he survives, of course." I closed my eyes and pictured stalagmites and stalagcites growing. I felt one grow right next to me. I heard a scream, which ment l had gotten Pasiphae. I tried following the sounds of struggles and screams. When l found Pasiphae, her dress was caught on one of the stalagmites. She saw me and tried to get away. I pictured a cage surrounding her and the cage formed around the sorceress, leaving her helpless." You like that?", l asked you. She shook her head," Not really, no." I imagined her feeling imbearable pain in her head. She scream in agony and fell on the ground. Her dress tore as she fell. I imagined a hole open up on the ground. She looked at me one last time." I will have my revenge. Gaea will become stronger and will destroy your world." I let her fall. She fell to who knows where and fell on the ground in exhaustion." Jay.", l mumbled before l burst into tears.

    A) They are too tired (like me, sometimes) B) they are too busy, or C) they honestly dont care about writing reviews. One of those 3 things...
