    Horrible Editing Disrupts Story Line

I enjoyed reading the book, but I was very disappointed in the lack of editing. The grammar and spelling errors continued to disrupt the story line. I'm going to give her another try, but if the second book I read continues to have the same issues I will stop reading her works. The grammatical and spelling errors could be corrected by a 6th grader. Stephanie needs a new editor.

    Too bad

This book, while enjoyable, was completely ruined by such a horrendous lack of editing I'm torn as to whether it's worth it or not. The story was good, the writing was good, but when the gramatical errors popped up (often) it instantly distanced me from the book. Ms. St. James is a good enough writer that I'll give her a second chance, but if the editing (or lack thereof) doesn't improve by the next book I purchase, I'm afraid I'm done.

    Enjoyable, but needs an editor

I bought this ebook on a whim and I really liked it. The characters were well-drawn and while the plot has been done many times over in contemporaries it's one I happen to enjoy, and Ms. St. James managed to make it feel fresh.

However, the grammatical errors were awful and the book lost points for that reason. It wasn't just the odd typo...the book was riddled with bad spelling and duplicate words, and like a previous reviewer said, the story starts out in San Fransisco and ends up in Dallas. It was a huge distraction from the story, and that's a shame, because St. James clearly knows how to tell a story.

    Worth a read

Although I agree there were a lot of grammatical errors and simple mistakes I have to say this book was still worth a read. I really enjoyed this book. The characters were well defined, it was humorous, the relationship wasn't rushed or choppy. Nothing was automatically assumed. If you enjoy a sweet, witty, well-defined book give this a shot.

    Entertaining

This book is entertaining but it is full of editing errors which take away from being a fully enjoyable book. For example, the book starts off as being in San Francisco and two pages later it's in Dallas (I had to go back a few pages to make sure I wasn't reading a different book). There are numerous misspellings which is annoying. I realize this is an e-book but that doesn't mean basic editing should be set aside. I liked this book so I'm trying this author's other books. I can only hope they have better editing.
